New Dewaniam in Southwark

Really not happy with the service and courtesy of staff. The restaurant was dead quiet and we were the only people to walk in. We booked earlier using my gourmet society discount card and they okayed it over the phone. When we arrived at the door the waiter said his boss has to not agreed to provide two dishes under that offer which was not mentioned in the card or when we called to book. We felt unwelcome and left the place. I think as a restaurant if you have signed up for something you should at least honour it.

Had a takeaway and it was unfortunately quite disappointing. Our Dal Bukara was very watery, and the Bhindi Bhaji was so over-salted we couldn't finish it. Acceptable curry house in a pinch, but sadly there's much higher quality places locally to get food.

Took over two hours and multiple calls to the restaurant to finally get delivered. The first time I ordered it was 45 minutes late and now it was over an hour late making it a total time of 2hrs 15. I will not be giving the a third chance. Terrible service and the food isn’t anything special.

Arrived Piping hot. Wonderful Goan food. Texture of prawns perfect. Excellent side dishes. So lucky to have the New Dewarian close by. :-)

Tasty food and great value, and really friendly. We had the vegan lunch menu, will have it again!

As always the service was fast and courteous, my order taken rapidly and the food and drink arriving with no delay. The food, onion bhaji starter, lamb curry and eggplant with plain boiled rice was very good. Well spiced but to the point where you could still distinguish the subtle flavours. The portions too were ample and I was simply unable to finish it all.The restaurant is tastefully decorated and spacious which combined with the food and service makes for an excellent dining experience.

Lovely Indian cuisine with truly authentic flavours. Food is cooked to perfection and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Delivery service is very quick too! Will definitely continue to order from here in future.

I rarely review restaurants especially from uber eats but this place has been superb 2 consecutive times now. First time there was so much food I was sure they messed up my order (and I weigh 125kg) Second time ordered the same and saw the same consistency as first time.Best curry I've had in a long time.Both times fast delivery.

Probably my favourite local Indian restaurant. The food is really good and same with the service and the price is good too.Only complaint is when ordering for delivery, it can take long time but food is still good and hot.Looking forward to eat in at this restaurant once the restrictions are lifted.Note: the photos are old and taken before corona virus pandemic.

I’m a current customer from this restaurant, I did my wedding 4 years ago and was amazing their food is delicious and the services fabulous. Their mix tandoori is delicious definitely my favourite place to go and eat
