Ossie's Jerk Chicken in Southwark

Stopped by for takeout jerk chicken, rice&peas with plantain. Superb! Greater flavour in all the food. Spicy. The two ladies serving were polite and nice. Really enjoyed it. Recommended.

A jamaican takeaway restaurant that actually has everything you want!!!! If you know, you know haha. Beautiful food and warm, lovely service with amazing music always playing.

Ordered portion of plantain and instead got plantain crisps. Ackee is bland no flavour, no thyme no seasoning just black pepper. The dumpling is so dry my wobbly tooth came out rock hard i had to drink water. The fritter was so oily i could have fried an egg. Seriously and dont ever order off just eat they bump up the prices on the menu. Just dont eat

I've tried with this place, I wanted to be able to enjoy a nice Caribbean meal on my lunch breaks, but 9 times out of 10 the good is just so disappointing. The boiled dumplings are not nice (way too much cornmeal) the green banana often tastes like it's about to ripe till it turns into a plantain. The mutton and oxtail just never bangs. I really wish I could've left a better review.

Tried because its called jerk chicken. No ide how the taste was, but nice to tried. I could completely finished the food, but cant enjoy it, maybe not my type. But sure some people totally love this!

Jerk chicken with oxtail gravy and rice with beans. So good, huge portions and amazing value for price. I loved the oxtail gravy.

The real deal. Not imitated. I've read a lot of reviews complaining about the customer service. Fair, but you don't go to a Jamaican takeaway looking for customer service. I think all Jamaicans failed that subject on their cooking course but excelled everywhere else. The foods amazing, the jerk chicken was cooked to perfection and the chicken Pattie was sublime. Service could be sped up but it's worth the wait. This is now My go to 24hr takeaway on Walworth road after going to bagel king for so many years. Also cheap. The jerk in cocoa bread with coleslaw was just 3pound. Recommended.

Big selection of foods expected from a restaurant like this. Staff were polite and fairly quick. It was quite busy as I went in around lunch time. I had the jerk pork, although I have had better it wasn't bad.
