Purple Mango in Southwark

Not worth it all , ordered à lamb masala, it was price excluding the rice, also came with only 4 small pieces of lamb and rest just liquid, plus lamb was uncooked !! Disappointed! Called the restaurant they didn't even take it seriously!!

Loved it. Meal for two plus sides turned into a feast. Quick delivery, friendly service, generous portions . Will order again.

Food was old and microwaved, I called to try and be polite about it and ask what they was going to do and the guy I spoke to called me a liar. I lost it was a understatement. Do not order food from here it will only disappoint! Thank God I ordered off just eat and can get a refund. Stay away!!!!

Everything was far too sweet! There have to be much better Indian takeaways in Camberwell than this.

We ordered a mix of veggie dishes for 2, but in the end it could be served for 4 or even 5. Good temperature, fresh and tasty.

We had a takeaway from here and it was ready on time which was good. The food was only OK, have had much better Indian food elsewhere. I had sag paneer and it was weirdly really sweet and sugary - couldn't eat it.

The name has Indian in it but food tastes different and nothing like Indian food. The Vegeterian variety specially is not that good. The paneer tikka was chewy and looking extra red due to lots of food colour and lacking taste. The Veg. Jalfrazi curry was extra hot and spicy with very less salt and big chucks of very few vegetables. Rotis were good and fresh. Portion size and quality can be better. Food delivery service was good. The food packaging was good. Prices are moderate.

Normally love this place but tonight both naans were burnt and dry, and the bhuna was tiny and swimming in oil with barely any sauce or meat.

Wow the chicken korma is so creamy and the sauce is outstanding. Very flavourful with big generous chunks of chicken (just how l like it). The best chicken korma l have ever tasted. I could even eat the sauce on its own. The curry came piping hot too! Great portions for great prices. This is the 1st time ordering from here. I will definitely buy from you guys from now on. Great job chef!

I live locally so usually visit the Purple Mango to pick up. I’ve always found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating and the prices are good. In the past I’ve found the food to be a bit hit or miss - while it’s always tasty, the curries can sometimes be a bit watery and bits of my order have been missed in the past (though I should add that the staff have refunded me no problem!).
