Silver Fish Bar in Southwark

Not had the fish but the Chinese is Not good at all. Will not be returning!!! Very disappointing.

Excellent fish and chips cooked to order. Yum, yum.

The owners of the place are incredibly kind and their meals are so filling for their price. Love it.

Our local fish and chip bar. The Chinese couple that run this place are so nice and so polite. Great fish & chips (at a fraction of the price of the Brockley Rock!) though they don't do scampi which is weird. But they DO do the best chicken curry and chips on the planet. Believe me, its worth a visit just for that.

Chips were ok not traditional was deep fryer with wire mesh basket in deep fryer but were fried fresh4u anything you want in this chip shop you will have to wait and it will be made fresh for you also make Chinese food which is ok but the traditional fish and chip shop for me it's not on this place but give it a try for yourself you might have a different opinion

Recently tried at our new Chinese takeaway Silver Fish Bar and I must say it was the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The noodles were mushy, oily and tasted like old fatty oil. Very disappointed. Took a bite and had to throw the thing away. Even the vegetable spring rolls were inedible. They had a measly bit of veg inside and tasted like old oil. Do not recommend.

I wouldn't be motivated to write a review unless it was extremely good or extremely poor, it was EXCELLENT. Only had chips, but still very worthy of comment.All fried food appears to be cooked to order (nothing hanging around getting less crispy!)My chips were consistently golden, tasty as hell and the woman added salt & pepper just as I would've myself!Cant wait to go back and have fish too!
