A really really good selection of beer and wine. The food that I saw looked great. I had a roast beef sandwich with chips. I can quite honestly say that it was on of the nicest pub sandwiches I've had.Clean toilets which is always nice and the staff were very nice. The overall ambience for a boozy Sunday afternoon with friends was just what I was looking for.

Beautiful walk around both modern and historical interests. Lots to see, read and explore…then sit, relax with a drink or two. Especially great with the seaworthy replica of Sir Francis Drake’s majestic ‘Golden Hinde’ Ship, positioned in place ready for glorious viewing, education and restoration.

In this place as a write this review . Ordered a steak pie and a coke . 25 minutes later my friends meal has arrived and mine has not . Was told it is being prepared and will be two minutes still nothing appears. Had to ask for a full refund . Terrible do not recommend unless everywhere else is full

It's a nice place to eat. The food was good but the waitress mad us feel uncomfortable. She kept staring right at us when we were eating. The food arrived in good time however we were not informed they did not have certain dishes that were on the menu. We asked for hunters chicken but it did not come with onion rings that was on the menu. They didn't tell us this when we ordered our food. The waitress was very quiet. I could barely understand what she was saying. Hopefully next time we go the experience will be better. It was mainly the waitress we had problems with. Everyone else was great. Will go back and still recommend

Welcome was good and explanation of how the service operated. Booking originally was straightforward. Beer choices excellent along with all spirits you can think of. Fabulous views over the river and buzzing area next to Borough Market. Food and service pretty good considering such a large and busy place. Most enjoyable for our group and will return again.

Argyle on tour....a match against Wimbledon and a weekend in London! And this was our first stop of many....and a perfect choice too. The sun was out, the Thames was looking majestic ( if a little muddy ) and we were sat in pole position for beer, food and good people watching!! Nice pub, lovely decor inside and attentive staff milling around. Gradually got busier and busier making a great atmosphere. The 2 snack bites we had were average and expensive, as most pubs food in London tends to be. Really good location and a quite magnificent building. Ps....where have all the Financial district "Suits" gone on a Friday afternoon.....all working from home I suppose....bet they miss their "POETs" time !!!

Really lively and bustling pub. We sat outside with absolutely superb views over the Thames , St.Pauls nestling in the city's landscape. Great selection of drinks, we both had the Pork Sunday dinner and it was one of the best roasts we've had. And the price considering the location was brilliant. Considering how busy it was the service was both friendly and quick. Inside which was very large had several television screens showing football. Totally recommended.
