Nice boozer but as a real ale buff the young Asian guy behind the bar didn't know that the ale coming through the line was finished despite it was coughing and bubbling. Mr Boss, please explain to your staff how real ale works. Training Training Training will make you busier. Trust me. I know.

Atrocious. Took well over an hour for them to get our food to us. The nachos were just tortilla chips with supermarket guacamole and salsa spooned on top - unclear how that can take an hour. Only got it after we complained twice. Pretty much everybody in the pub was also complaining about the wait.

·

Nachos very generous for the price. Food and beer good value.

Great location to watch football. Helpful staff when booking table. Didn’t hang much food, but it was nice

·

Maybe acceptable in the dark after a few pints but a team lunch there was a disaster of epic proportions. Food was cold, orders were wrong, toilets reeked... the list goes on. AVOID.

·

OK pub on Stamford Street. Two cask beers available when I visited. The one I had (Portobello Chestnut Ale) was not in the best condition. Lots of outdoor seating.

Nothing much impresses me, but this pub did! Food exceptional and service great! Definitely worthy of 5 stars ✨

I enjoyed my time here with a nice mix of modern and old pub features. With the table we reserved, we could order drinks through a tablet there (with a payment card to secure a tab) and we could pull our own pints, Neck Oil and Camden Hells being the options. The self-service draught beer taps were available at only some of the tables but they were a nice novelty/gimmick all the same. Drinks ordered through the tablet were delivered very promptly. The selection of food was quite varied and our group all left empty plates so I'd say enjoyment of the menu was unanimous - the starters, mains and desserts were flavoursome and good portion sizes. We weren't waiting on our food for long either. The prices were somewhat high but in this part London, this should come as a surprise to nobody. The staff were polite, friendly and engaging, which always helps.Based on my first (only to date) visit here, I feel confident in recommending the Thirsty Bear for those near Blackfriars Bridge/Station.

A pub that is kind of modern and old at the same time. Good beers, friendly staff and snacks or food available. Turns out to be a handy place to watch the football on a Sunday afternoon as there is a big room upstairs and the option to order remotely once you hand you card over.

A super little place between Blackfriars and Waterloo bridges on the south side of the river. Unusual in that it has draught beer taps at some of the tables for all the wannabe bartenders. Also provides entertainment in the form of darts and foosball. Good cold beer served swiftly and happily. A good place for a beer and a laugh.
