Vivat Bacchus London Bridge in Southwark

Lovely food and wine, impeccable service. They just make you feel soooo nice and cosy, especially on a windy day like it was today. Definitely will go back and would recommend for a nice dinner with your best friend or a date. Took a bit more time to find it as it is a bit hidden but all gems are.

Had a diner with friends last Friday the 21st Jan.The place:Warm and cozy, even though it was a bit busy, we can still hear each other talking, in fact this was a good place for any meeting.Wooden the wall, wine decoration and quotes etc.The food:We had,one of the 2 cheese platter which.The gorgonzola (?) Was creamy, of course the compte as usual was very nice.4 type of cheese served with slices of apple and pear. Well presentedWe had 2 kinds bilatong meet which are very nice...reminds me a bit of polish delicatessen.We had a very tasty burger, served with blue cheese. At least I have been asked how I wanted my meet cooked. It has to be rare for me please ;)Mots of the place I don't have any choice but well done beef :(The wine we had is Magnum of Merlot from their brand Vivat Bacchus Really surprisingly good!You can smell the "terroire" the "petrole oil" and of course the taste changed once you hit the cheese and meat.Really recommend this place.

Very friendly atmosphere and staff. Lovely place to meet up with friends. Also has a lovely outdoor setting during the summer.

Loved the cheese, wine and mezze. But most of all the service was excellent and the staff were sooooo lovely, friendly and helpful! Definitely recommend this place

We have been coming to Vivat Bacchus for multiple years now and every time we go we think “we cannot imagine a better restaurant“. But then they go and surpass themselves every time. The food, exemplary. The staff, absolutely amazing. The decor, the choice of wines, the cheese room, the expertise of the sommeliers. Just unbelievable every time. I recently heard Vivat Bacchus does not have a rosette but if any place deserved one it’s here. 5 stars does not justify Vivat Bacchus enough, 10 stars would still sell this restaurant short. Coming to this restaurant is to guarantee an experience you will never forget.Please keep doing everything that you do Vivat Bacchus. We will be back as soon as possible! ❤️

I found this place place to be very average. I celebrated my birthday here this evening with a friend and neither of our meals were particularly impressive. But what was more irritating was the fact our waitress was rather pushy to get us out of the door. We’d had a main course, bottle of wine, desserts and a coffee but as soon as we’d had out last sip, the bill was on the table and our waitress was standing there with a card machine. Not cool at all given we’d only been there an hour and 20 minutes! But I guess with a 12.5% service charged added to every bill, they don’t have to do much for their tip. Won’t be going back here.

Very nice restaurant with delicious foods, tasty wines, friendly staff and wonderful athmosphere:) Just 3 min walking from the Shard. I highly recommend them;)

Really amazing food and attentive service. Great advice about the cheeses including the best order to eat them in. So knowledgeable! We went for our anniversary meal and they'd read the comments in the reservation and really looked after us. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Enjoyed a lovely Chicken sandwich meal at Vivat Bacchus. Went in without prior booking and was hoping to be allowed to have a meal. Received a warm welcome from the manager and her team. Waiting time was impressive, maybe helped by the England game against Denmark 😉.All-in-all, was very satisfied with the meal and the hospitality received from the staff. Competitive prices too for the items on the menu. Restaurant comes recommended when in the London Bridge area.
