I visited Waffle On and had a fantastic experience - mouth-watering fig, goats cheese and blueberry waffle. This is a very popular stand; stacks of people waiting to be served, service with a smile and all fresh ingredients - everything is cooked in front of you. What absolute rubbish about no gloves and being unwell because somebody touched money and cooked food - perhaps street food isn't for you! The food is wonderful, CLEAN, and so are the staff.

Normally I would rate these guys 5/5, however when I visited yesterday I have to say the portion size was abysmal.Having privously visited many times, £7.50 for chicken and waffles is normally a good price, however yesterday's serving was half the size of normal with only 5 small bitesize pieces of chicken. Unfortunately it's hard to see in the photos I've attached.I sincerely hope this isn't a continuing trend as the flavour combination is incredible.Still hungry I ended up visiting one of the many other vendors who for similar prices were serving decent sized portions.

Had waffles with chicken. Loved it. Chise it because it was the only halal food stall in maltby street and was not disappointed. Also had a seating area which is quite rare for a food stal to have in the street. Staff was helpful and the portion size was decent. Accepts both cash and cards - would recommend to all.

Friendly staff, very busy at times - naturally, as Maltby Street Market is somewhat of a '"tourist trap". In all honesty I don't consider this exceptional value for money. But, if passing through and you fancy a waffle then you can't go wrong. Lots of variations to choose from and made in front of you.

The size of the waffle is VERY small, it was poorly presented. The fruits were fresh.

Amazing staff and amazing food

I recently went to the Waffle On stand at the underbelly festival and had the worst experience. I ordered a vegan waffle and they said they hated making vegan waffles as they were difficult to make even though they clearly offer it on their menu and shouldn't discriminate against dietary requirements. They then proceeded to attempt to make the waffle, charged me for it and then when it stuck to the iron they simply said here's your money back. No attempt to make it again or real apology. Frankly when a service is offered they should know how to make it especially if they are stating they will cater to dietary requirements. They were rude to me simply on the basis of my lactose intolerance and I would advise against purchasing anything from them.

Staff are lovely, always professional and welcoming. However, my major issue is the vegan waffles. The current formula made with chickpea flour isn't working out, and isn't nice on the taste buds. I do appreciate the effort in making the waffles gluten free, but there are other options. If plain spelt flour was used this would be the perfect solution, as I have made waffles from spelt and it was amazing . Hopefully my advice is taken on board, and I look forward to the modifications made towards the vegan waffles options.

Thought the waffles were just okay - nothing out of the ordinary. They have chicken and waffle, berries with whipped cream or Greek yogurt, and a few other options. Waffles are made fresh but it's a little overpriced for what you get and there are better things to eat at Maltby Market.

I had both the fried chicken and fruit based waffles because I'm a pig. Both were fantastic. Will be returning for more soon.
