A lovely evening with friends, a leaving dinner for me and a surprise cake. Staff were friendly and hood was lovely

Very disappointed. Ordered a take away and was told it would be an hour. We were happy to wait. However after an hour and 15 minutes I called for an update and couldn’t get through. When the phone did ring it was ignored multiple times. When someone eventually answered they hung up. Food arrived after 2 hours but we sent them away as we decided to order elsewhere. It’s lucky that we opted to pay in cash otherwise there would be no way of getting a refund. Terrible service. Another customer lost!

A fantastic restaurant, service is always impeccable. My go to Chinese takeaway and I’ve never been disappointed with the quality of food. Keep up the good work

Got a takeaway last night,food was absolutely discusting,one of the dishes I ordered was a beef curry,it hardly had no meat,swimming in some sauce stuff,compared to other places I've been to.we didn't hardly touch the food.will never go back there again🤢

Heen's used to be an exceptional restaurant. Sadly, since it changed hands it has become an atrocious place to dine.Friday nights used to be bustling, but now the restaurant is half empty. A steady stream of undesirables traipse in to collect their takeaways, greeted by the shrill "Hiyaaaa darlin'!" of the new owner, but the previous well-heeled clientele that ate-in are nowhere to be found.Tens of the staff's children were zooming around in between the tables, riding scooters inside the restaurant, and shouting unintelligibly at the few diners there were. Absolutely dreadful Chinese covers of Western songs were playing loudly. Waiting staff no longer wear uniforms, instead opting for joggers and t-shirts. A large plastic sheet adorns the wall, festooned in its manufacturer's logos. Orange wooden imitation flowers are on the tables in place of the candles that used to be there. Gone are the fabric tablecloths and napkins, cheap and scratchy paper versions in their place.Then there's the food.Inelegantly prepared starters were tasteless and lumpy in texture. Presentation was sloppy. I had to drench my dish in soy sauce in order to taste it.Main courses were some of the worst I've ever had. Watery noodles, with no detectable flavour, nestled underneath a paltry serving of protein, with one prawn having been cut into 8 pieces and scattered over the top. The chicken arrived, drowned in a poorly made sauce, unrecognisable from how the dish was served under the previous ownership. If serving spiced food, surely any Asian chef knows to fry the spices first, rather than serve them up raw within a congealed sauce. I'm Asian and I know this...yet I'm no restaurant chef.To make matters worse, the owner sat at a prominent table near the entrance of the restaurant eating a DALLAS CHICKEN takeaway that she had sent a staff member out to collect. Yes, she was eating a friend chicken meal from another restaurant in front of the appalled diners in her own establishment.Please, do not waste your money here, Heen's days are over. It pains me to see such a diabolical mess being made of what was a fantastic eatery.

Rude behaviour from the staff. The waitress was explicitly and deliberately rude to me, just because my card didn't work the first time, that too because of the issue with their wifi.They refused to give me an itemised bill. I suspect the restaurant evades tax as they insisted I pay by cash at first.The food was not bad.

Had two great delivery orders with Heen's previously but then tonight's meal was so bad that "disappointed" doesn't cover it. Ordered exactly the same dishes 3 weeks ago because it was so delicious (hence ordering again) but it was almost as if they had given me the dregs of last night's leftovers reheated in the microwave. Dishes were; quarter duck, ma pa tofu, crispy beef, crispy seafood noodles, special fried rice. Firstly they gave the wrong noodles and gave me the house noodles which is £1 cheaper. The noodles were soggy, broken and over boiled. The duck was tough and dry, almost inedible. The ma pa tofu was the best out of the bunch- but very bland and the tofu wasn't blended into the rest of the sauce- almost like they'd just added fresh tofu to old sauce? The crispy beef was awful. Really soggy, almost watered down sauce and no flavour. Sad to say that was £40 wasted. Barely touched the food as just couldn't stomach eating the rest. Funnily enough, the portions of the noodles and crispy beef were almost half of what I received last time- making me really wonder whether they have just given me leftover from previous days with new garnish? Haven't been this disappointed from a takeaway in a long time. I guess it's because was really looking forward to it with high expectations! Not sure would order from them again as now the quality is so inconsistent that don't want to risk it. £40 for inedible dinner is quite a splurge. I even rang them to ask if the chef had changed since 3 weeks ago! (Apparently not) Not sure how they could send out such appalling food using the same chef. Perhaps need to improve on quality control?

A bit crowded place. Reasonably priced food with decent quantity. All that we ordered was tasty. Update after a year. There is a reason why it is crowded....the food is fantastic and consistent a year later.

Collected in person. Singapore noodles, Chicken in satay sauce, Mixed starter, Sweet and sour chicken, Crispy beef, £43. Food was good but not forty quid good. Could do with a touch extra salt. Have been in person too, £60 for two. Restaurant is upmarket and good as a 'once every now and then' experience, but not more regularly than that.Second review, ordered takeaway and similar order to first.Price was slightly lower, but quality wasn't great. Crispy shredded beef was mainly just crispy, with little beef flavour. Satay chicken oddly had tomatoes in sauce and the tofu vegetables definitely weren't to my taste.

Popular Chinese restaurant with superb vegan options.We chose the vegetarian crispy duck for our starters. Somehow they managed to make it crispy on the outside and soft and fatty in the middle. As an ex-meat lover, this is a difficult thing to reproduce. This is truly the best vegetarian crispy duck I've ever had. Our mains were a nice chunky seaspicy aubergine, chilli tofu and crispy chilli beef. All were super. The service was efficient and friendly. A hearty meal for 4 with wine came to under £100... top tip: book in advance on a weekend.
