Pizza Express in Sutton

Visited 23/04/22, enjoyed Calamari starter, followed by new Vegan Mezze Pizza with aubergine, sweet & hot chilli peppers, smokey Harissa, hummus & rocket, very tasty (5* rating). However other family members had Margherita Pizza which was not up to usual lovely standard & was dry with cheese which was a little hard in texture (2* rating) & the new Sea food Pizza with King Prawns, garlic & cherry tomatoes (4* rating).On a recent visit (8/01/22), had Calzone Verdure (pizza folded in half like a pasty) with aubergine, sweet yellow/red peppers, Harissa tomato, garlic, chillies & rosemary, served with a salad & balsamic vinegar; unfortunately this was served with quite a dark, almost burnt top, the filling cold & ingredients not well balanced as there was very little of anything else (as advertised) with mainly spinach inside; no balsamic dressing added to salad either (as described on menu) (3* rating). However, our Calamari Rings starter was delicious, as was Amaretto Dessert (5* rating). Restaurant was very busy with takeaway-orders & in-house customers, a very busy night probably accounted 4 disappointing main.Sutton pizza express excellent as always with lovely staff. Visited previously & tried their new chicken, spinach & tomato pizza on a bechamel sauce, which was truly delicious, accompanied with a glass of chilled pinot grigio. (Usually go for the polla al forza (chicken with chillies) but tried something new this time. Also had calamari as a starter to share, which is a favourite & the Sutton branch have got it off to a fine art. (In other branches, the same could not be said for the food or service). Well done Sutton😉

The service was very good, and fast. The team were very polite and welcomed us very fast. They recommended me a very nice pizza and it was extremely tasty. Would recommend to anyone.

The food was extremely scrumptious and piping hot. I ordered a margarita pizza and dough balls. The service was amazing and extremely efficient. I will definitely be returning.

Disgusting! Last night, I ordered 2 x pizzas, and after eating half of it, I found a long hair in it. I felt sick and my GF also wasn't feeling well after having her pizza. Never getting food from here ever again ( regardless of a full refund )

From start to finish, the food and service was absolutely phenomenal. I felt that I was in a top quality restaurant from appetisers right up to desserts. Me and my family will definitely be coming here often after this amazing experience. Many thanks to the manager who got us away from the rain and seated us instantly in what was a beautifully designed restaurant with a lovely ambience.

Really enjoyed the "pepperoni" vegan pizza. Halloumi bites were yum and calamari was ok

The food was delicious, but the service was appalling. I was there yesterday, November 15, 2021, and had a negative experience with the manager/supervisor. The service was terrible, and she refused to give her name. She was a European white lady, and I believe she works there as the manager. I will officially write about this incident to Pizza Express, but I'm curious how these types of people get jobs at Pizza Express. She wasn't even treating her employees well. Of course, if she can't be polite to her customers, how can she be polite to her team members? We were extremely disappointed, and we will never return to Pizza Express. Examine the feedback from your competitors. You are losing customers as a result of employees like her.

Excellent service and good food. I had the Calabrese pizza and it was very tasty and cooked perfectly. Desserts also very good but I always default to the chocolate fudge cake every time.The restaurant itself was clean and not too busy when we first arrived at 6.15pm, although it was packed by the time we left.

I have been to Pizza Express Sutton on a busy Friday night to treat myself for a special occasion. Not only the food was absolutely delicious but also they were really kind and helpful when i wanted to try 2 different pizzas without much extra cost. They duly delivered! The crust and toppings are extra quality and it doesn’t give that funny taste like many other pizza restaurants with thick and soggy crusts or cheap and sometimes past use by date ingredients. I would absolutely recommend this place without a second thought.
