Sakura Indian Restaurant in Sutton

Ordered for delivery. Delivery took 30 minutes longer than stated and the food was extremely watery and bland. Couldn’t eat more than a few bites, never again.

We ordered food at 5pm. It arrived at 7.30pm! It came stone cold. It was very oily and very bland. I had to add my own spices to every single dish i ordered. The smallest naan bread I have ever seen. Idon't recommend it. Definitely not the full of flavours Indian food you would expect.

Heard good things about Sakura so thought we would try a takeaway. The coconut rice was overcooked and the rest of the food was very bland. Especially the bombay aloo, which is normally full of flavour elsewhere had hardly any flavour. Quite disappointing.

Went for Mother's day dinner buffet. It was ok. Customer service to us was not at all. We had booked online and had called even to get it confirmed. On the call they said its confirmed but once we reached they said whatever the online booking was done was not confirmed. Still thank full to them they did gave us a place after waiting 30 mins.There is no customer parking though they say they have customer parking. Also with Mother's day celebrations every other table the ladies were offered a small cake but don't know why I was not served. So I was disappointed with the service what I had experienced.FoodFood was ok not up to great level. Egg fried rice was not at all good 😐.The poppadoms were not fresh. Though they were bringing in small batches but its was not cracking ones.The only thing in the buffet was good was barbecue chicken wings and the complimentary chutneys. Plus the Naan bread and chicken korma.

Been there for dinner with my bf he loves indian food, overall food was good just some portion was bit small. Atmosphere and decore was bit dowdy. Might come back

Food is full of flavour and clean. This is my favorite curry house in Carshalton. Service is fantastic aswell, so glad to have such a lovely curry house down the road! Very accommodating!

After the demise of Vinoteca and Saregama, it's great to see Sakura maintaining hold in Carshalton Beeches, tge last of a triumvirate of great restaurants. I always liked it here. The portions are well sized. The staff attentive and friendly. The decor subdued. They've extended outside and are looking forward to a fresh menu for the spring and summer, so Sakura is nor resting still. Tonight we had a selection of classic Indian dishes, complimented by a beautiful oily garlic naan and a soft slightly coconutty tarka dahl. Everything was gently spiced, you can have hotter if you want, we didn't today and as a testament to the chef's skill, not a scrap was left on the plates. A welcome evening and I was pleased to return after rarely stepping out due to the CV19 restrictions. A fine find.

Very pleasant Indian restaurant serving Sunday buffet for a very reasonable price. Buffet is quite pedestrian but most are.Will return to try a meal from the main menu.Be aware that drinks are quite pricey compared to the food prices.Certainly worth a visit, though.Update: Now more spacious by approx 25% plus has a conservatory extension in front.. Family ate from the a la carte menu as Sunday buffet does not restart until early 2022. Food was excellent service warm and friendly and prices not exceptional. Chef even provided a dish which wasn't on the menu for the grandchildren! Will definitely return.
