Tasty China in Sutton

Omg just had the mixed start it was amazing tried stuff I had never had I’m gutted we don’t live near here and we still have the rest to come 🤣🤣

The tall blonde waitress was only accommodating to my boyfriend and did not ask me whenever she checked on our table. Made me feel unwelcome, she also said “ I’m assuming you’re paying” to my boyfriend whilst handing the bill, inappropriate and sexist behaviour, the food was good but that staff made the overall experience disappointing, wouldn’t go back again

Came here for my husband's 50th with a group of friends. The food was delicious as always (we have been coming here for years). The service was great and everyone said what a lovely relaxed evening it was. I would thoroughly recommend.

What a shame always had the best food here, but unfortunately the lady is rude, doesnt listen, ruined our whole birthday evening out due to this will never visit again...

Visited New Year's eve. Really warm welcome and excellent food. Staff were attentive and friendly. I will certainly visit again soon...

Very very busy, delays between courses, however food very good, staff working very hard order extreme pressure, well done. We will be back.

Unfortunately left the restaurant hungrier than when I arrived. Waited nearly an hour for the second set of orders which they hadn't begun cooking so we cancelled it and left. Also had to ask for water and drinks 3 times before receiving which took approx 30minutes in total. Waiter explained they were lacking in a chef and I understand that it's a tough situation to be in however, we would have preferred to know this prior. Ended up ordering food elsewhere. Wasted nearly 3 hours of our time and essentially paid for disappointment

My review for Tasty China appears to have been deleted. So the following is from memory.Prior to Covid we used to visit the Tasty China several times a year, and held various parties at the restaurant where we took over the majority of the establishment. The Tasty C is well known for its all you can eat menu, but please don't order more than you can eat. The starters are amazing with dishes like salt/pepper prawns and squid, spicy chicken wings, spare ribs and spicy soups. The mains are good but not a patch on the starters. Recommended

We ordered a la carte rather than all you can eat as we didn’t want to stuff ourselves and £28 pp + drinks and service is a tad pricey. The food was very tasty and the menu prices seemed reasonable until the dishes arrived. The portions were the most miserly I’ve had in any Chinese restaurant anywhere. To rub it in staff kept asking us if we wanted to order more food. I might give this place another chance but if the tiny portion sizes stay then will not return.

Food was fantastic. They dealt with pandemic safety regs well. Service was fast and friendly. We had the all you can eat for £28, and it was worth every penny. I think we had over 25 different dishes in total between six of us, and we were stuffed.
