If Carlsberg made burgers they would call it Caboose. In a court yard behind the Old Truman Brewery I was served One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. Along with a smile the cheese burger special was recommended, and it delivered. A thick beef patty with ketchup and salad went down a treat while I was working around the quiet back streets of Brick Lane.

Stumbled upon this amazing eatery by accident and very glad I did.The burgers are amongst the finest I've ever had, cooked to perfection. The fries were yummy also. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. So glad I found this place.

Great burger, good curly fries (but very spicy). The only problem is finding a place to sit since there is always a lot of people over there. But the burger is worthy

Went for a quick spot of lunch on a summer's day. Pleasant area just off the beaten track and a solid burger. Went for the "Derailer" as it has both the pork & beef and was a solid effort. Lovely smokey taste throughout, soft bun didn't blow me away but a good showing, thank you.

We had a mini wedding celebration as a group of 11 in the private dining booth! At first the venue seemed a tight squeeze but it was fine after a few drinks! The extra touches to us were the most amazing as they decorated the booth with some balloons and even made a white wedding cake for the bride and groom to cut after dinner! The team were great hosts and very welcoming, it’s BYOB for an extra £5 each and they provide a big cold ice bucket waiting to keep it all cold. Bring your own music too which was nice - you can connect to their speakers. We had the booth from 8 to 11pm which was perfect. To start we were served a giant sharing platter of chicken wings, hummous, pitta and variety of dips. Main was a choice of 3 - pulled pork, brisket beef or a combination of both, all served as a burger in a brioche bun, with or without cheese. We were also served fries. Instead of plates you are given a tray covered with a sheet of greaseproof paper and wooden cutlery which was fine as it matched the theme of Caboose. The food was tasty but I wouldn't say it was amazing or good value for £35 each. What we loved was having a small cosy private booth that you could share with your close friends and reminded us of the private small private rooms in BYOB Japanese restaurants we use to frequent when we first met.Things to note are:- Toilets are in a bar opposite (3 minute walk away) which is a bit annoying but fine.- It is a tight squeeze so there's not much space to put belongings and even on the table, so don't bring too much stuff! It is also best if you know each other well!On the whole it was a good experience for a special celebration , however it was expensive (£35 food + £5 BYOB) for the food that you got, which was essentially a burger with fries and a chicken wing.

What an absolute GEM of a place! Highly recommend for a personalised, fun, relaxed evening of fantastic food and brilliant hosting. We went for my Mum's 60th birthday and everyone loved it. Geri, our hostess, was not only brilliant at what she does but really fun as well. Thank you so much for a truly wonderful evening and experience. Gemma xx

Absolutely amazing spot - try to get the group booking so you get the whole caboose to yourselves. The Derailer is on point, especially if you like it spicy and the team is extremely friendly and hospitable. Already missing the brisket.

I had the "3.10 To Yuma" beef brisket burger, and it was pretty darn good. Took some time to prepare, but worth the wait. I'm a frequent visitor to Ely's Yard, but first time I'd tried Caboose. I'd definitely want to try more of their menu.

Had the half baby back ribs. Was moist and cooked well but it just didn't have a lovely deep flavour for me. Wouldn't try it again. Flavour let down.
