Best french onion soup ever!! Worth coming here just for that alone. Service is great and also recommend the coffee. Prices are slightly on the high side for that area but nothing abnormal for London (it is more like central London prices). They do a dinner deal of 50cl of wine and one charcuterie selection for £14 which is a bargain and the wine was great. Much of the music in the background is from the film Amelie so you will definitely feel like you are in Paris here. Overall great experience.

A gem of a restaurant. Food was delicious- loved the French onion soup. Great atmosphere and service. Reasonably priced too. Perfect!

Lovely, cozy french bistro with authentic food. Friendly and professional staff. I higly recommend to taste the snails there :)

Loved it and cannot wait to return and try other things on the menu. Lovely staff. The space inside is slightly tight.

Great little french restaurant in a good location, adding some variety to the area. I found the soup to be excellent and ambiance good. Like an increasing number of places I've got to reduce a star for hidden service fees, but otherwise very happy with it.

Excellent. Top-notch service, delicious starters, and incredible taste and quality raw materials for main plates. Price is a bit higher than other similar restaurants in London but it's a fair deal when factoring the high quality received.

Beautiful cozy real French Bistro. Great atmosphere. Fabulous food and wine. Will be back for certain.

Service is great and everyone was so iconically French which added to the superb atmosphere in the restaurant.Frog legs, aubergine and especially the creme brulee were good but the tartare was pretty bad (just good enough to be edible) and the duck a little mediocre. The price of the dishes is overall quite hefty too given the portions. The complimentary bread was acceptable but a very far cry from the bread I had in France, I get it we are not there but you can find much better bread in the UK and I expected a little better from a French restaurant.Overall is a nice place to visit with decent food. Definitely far better than the horrific Indian restaurants on that street, but not spectacular either.

My boyfriend and I celebrated my birthday at this venue. It had wonderful atmosphere, lovely staff and interesting menu.We tried out their frog legs, snails, beef onglet and mussels paired with a great white wine recommendation. All but the legs tasted amazing (the legs had a bit of a unpleasant smell which I attributed to the unusual meal).I would have given it 5 stars but I felt super sick a few hours later.

This beautiful French restaurant in brick lane is very different to everything else in the area! Nice rustic-chic decor and very cozy, with friendly staff and delicious food, whether it is for a casual lunch or a special dinner, Chez elles is definitely worth the visit. Besides, who can cook steak better than the French? If you’re a fan of French cuisine you can’t miss this place!
