The food was really good and delivery time as well. But I can only give 2 stars has I found a piece plastic seal mixed in the food I expected better than that from gaylords.

Usually a good resteraunt, l go there with my relatives when they come here every year or two the food is always nice, unfortunately I ate there 2nights ago with my relatives that came across the world to see me for a few days. l had a chicken biriyani, onion bhaji, and naan bread and l have been in bed with food poisoning throwing up sweating and shaking with stomache cramps since, so l only had 1 day with my relatives in 2 years and l won't see them for another year and 5 days off work sick as a dog. Thanks Gaylord for messing up something lve looked forward to for 2 years. They've now gone but the food poisoning hasn't.I'm fuming!!! But it's the only time in about 8 visits I've been poisoned so I'm going to put it down to a one off.

Great take away service. Food is very good - not greasy at all (my biggest hate is overly greasy (Indian or any other cuisine) food. Lovely naan bread!!!

This resturant is truly a gem on the Isle of Dogs. The food was freshly cooked with lots of flavour and well presented. We ordered 4 currys and a biriyani and i would like to say every single curry was delicious. The decor is very traditional and unique. The service was great and price was very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Wow this is not Indian cuisine, food tasted stale recooked/heated. I ordered the exact same dish I leays do at other places I understand that it may differ with different cooking styles but this is awful had food poisening and really bad acid reflux. The service was terrible a place to stay away

Definitely NOT Indian food. Something must have gone terribly wrong cause what they sent over was definitely not what I ordered.I order a portion of their Aloo Chat & what I got was some weird potato side dish that just tasted sour. I also ordered Dal Makhani & got some strange Dal with coconut & raisins inside (more like a dessert sweet). I know you are westernising the food but at least make it something close to the product. I mean you have Pinterest, YouTube, the god damn internet to find the right recipes. EPIC FAIL

I am truly disappointed. One of the waiters was quite rude and lazy. Another (I think he may be the owner) was lovely and polite. The portions are ridiculously small. I’ve been to many Indian restaurants all over London and I’ve got to say I have never seen such small portions. My three year old eats more rice than what they served me. It was insulting. I ordered a King Prawn Puri starter and it had three prawns. Literally three. The curry tasted ok, average nothing special. The samosas come out of a frozen packet. The sweet mango lassi is literally cream - do not purchase. This restaurant is extremely overpriced. Expect to pay £70+ for three people. We had starters and mains only.

Love the food, can’t get enough of it. Big problem is the attitude of the waiter who serves here. You wouldn’t even think the owner of the place is so stuck-up. The prices for eat in cost a LOT more than take away.

Overall I had a good experience. This is a truly cozy place with quite a romantic atmosphere. I really liked the decoration, they clearly spent a lot of time and money to make it look appealing and warm. The music also complimented the experience. The menu and the food were a bit disappointing though. When I first looked at the menu I got a bit scared. It is one of the most extensive and longest menus I've ever seen. If you don't know much about restaurants, that's not a good thing. At all. It looks impressive at first sight and you feel like you have a lot of choice, but if you think about it, the reality is that they cannot possibly make that many dishes fresh in a timely manner. Which probably means a lot of frozen ingredients, separately prepared food items heated up together for a speedy service. Unfortunately as I suspected, this is precisely what happened. It wasn't even a few minutes after we made our order and the food was already out and it definitely tasted like the meat and the sauce were prepared completely separately lacking the integration of flavours. It was rather disappointing.I am leaving a positive review however because staff were really nice and the place itself was amazing. They do need to revisit their menu and food preparation techniques though.
