Hawksmoor Spitalfields in Tower Hamlets

Took my partner to settle a debate over where the best roast dinner was in London, with Hawksmoor being my choice!Having been before, I felt that this visit in comparison to other times was slightly sub-par.The meat was served rare, but not consistent with other visits. Don't misunderstand, the food, service, drinks and atmosphere were all amazing, but I'm afraid that I actually lost the debate in this instance!I will always be back, no doubt in my mind, but next time I will get a steak instead of the roast.Shared the Potted beef starter, two Roast Dinners, shared the Caramel Rolo desers and two Shaky Pete cocktails ~ £95

Friendly staff and was knowledgable on the different types of steaks, went for the recommendation. Perfectly cooked rare medium chateaubriand 450g steak to share. Bone marrow, crab on toast, Triple cooked chips, mac & cheese, seasonal greans, for dessert peanut butter cookie and ice cream all delicious except for mac&cheese overly salty that I couldn't eat it without the greens. Ambiance very low lighting and busy and buzzy. Had 2 hour seating was plentiful but they were slow to take dessert order and slow to serve.

Everything was perfect about this meal out, from the quality of service to the exquisite food.From arrival, there is a cloakroom at the entrance. If your table is not ready you take a seat at the bar where you are greeted with water whilst picking a drink.Server was knowledgeable on the menu and was attentive throughout.Had the on bone sirloin to share, which was pre-sliced by our choice for easy sharing. Steak was cooked to perfection and was a fantastic cut of meat. Sides of mac and cheese, chips with beef dripping gravy and garlic mushrooms were all great.For price, it's of course a more premium experience with quality service and food. However, the prices are actually very reasonable. Price is obviously dependent on different budgets, but if you are on the lower end I'd 100% recommend going here once instead of to an average steakhouse twice.Will definitely be coming back.

Great and friendly service from the moment you step through the door. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the side were amazing. We brought our own wine for the corkage night and they were great at getting bit decanted. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I came here for his birthday dinner and the whole experience was amazing. The food was incredible, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. There wasn't anything I could fault. The service was also lovely, our server Enea was especially friendly and delightful. They even treated us to two birthday cocktails! Can't wait to return.

Went tonight for a friend’s birthday and was massively impressedService was absolutely top notch, couldn’t fault any of them… it’s a really cool place.. whether to treat yourself or a special occasion it’s hard to fault it..And all this before I even get to the food… superb!! Absolutely fantastic… steak was like cutting through butter and all of the sides were super tasty!! Really really would recommend

Finally got to try this place after requesting vouchers for my birthday (we're not local to London). Nice environment, it was clear everyone was having a good time. Pork belly ribs were sticky and delicious. Rib eye cooked to perfection and the stichelton hollandaise was awesome. Hosts were incredibly attentive and even sent out a sticky toffee pudding on the house for my belated birthday. Would definitely be back for a treat.

We got the rump and fillet both cooked to perfection. That perfectly crisp exterior and rare in the middle. The sides were a bit dry and the sauces available weren’t in abundance. The desserts were pretty good too especially the sticky toffee sundae.
