We booked this restaurant for a large group but were told they could manage the numbers, the food was pre ordered to make it easier. It was a total shambles, food was coming out of the kitchen and it was just left sitting on the side going cold, there was just one waitress most of the time. People were complaining because of the time it took for food to get to the tables and because most of it was cold and had to be sent back. A lot of food was left uneaten because it just wasn't nice. The service was diabolical, I would not return to this restaurant if it was free.

Ordered from lotus a whole duck using ubereats... but didn’t realise I needed to chop the duck myself… =.=“ if i possess that skill or am feeling adventurous, i’d probably not be ordering takeaways. However, if you manage to get as far as to actually eating the duck, it’s actually very good! (Started from 1 star when I received the duck, upgraded to 3 after eating the duck, would have been 5 if it was chopped!)Edit: 7-Feb-22; updated from 3 to 5 stars. Restaurant now state clearly and provided option to have it chopped, with or without bones and even provided the bones for making soup if needed. Roast duck, roast pork and pork knuckles are all good!

Went there for dim sum only and it was not good. Very limited selection and the presentation was amateurish. Been there twice after the new management. First time was just reopened, hence service was a bit chaotic. Then went back again at least a month later for a second try and food quality didn’t improve much. I’m afraid I may need to abandon this place for real. =(

I regularly pick up noodles, condiments etc from their shop but haven't tried the restaurant. The groceries are amazing, there is a great selection of fresh or frozen ingredients, condiments etc.

Lotus has been around many years and has built a name for itself.Unfortunately, these days is only a shadow of what it used to be. Maybe the effect of the pandemic.Restaurant looks a bit rundown. Service is extremely slow.Food is OK, but just above average and not as good as it used to.

It's an iconic place, a barge on the water in Crossharbour. It's only just recently reopened so the menu is limited but will continue to grow back to its full size in time. The staff were very kind and helped my friend carry their pram upto the restaurant level. They were attentive and quick to respond to us. The food itself was great. And finally the view is amazing outside the window is the huge dock with large residential buildings all around. It's a unique setting just south of Canary Wharf.

First time here after sis recommended it to me like 2 years ago. So took my mum here yesterday for her bday dinner. Not only was customer service amazing. The food was fantastic we got a bit of a collection of stuff. Loved every bit of it. It was amazing. Then went downstairs and got Jasmin tea because we fell in love with it whiles eating. Thank you for everything. Defo recommend

Unbelievable!!! Staff member waiting outside pulled me in as I was walking past, saying free food free food. (I wasn’t born yesterday!), I made him repeat it in front of a couple of others. I walked up to the newly opened restaurant, so did the couple listening. I was about to be seated so I asked the waiter if it was free food, he looked surprised and said no, but you can have a free drink!! Embarrassingly I walked out, so did the couple who were already seated! Nothing to do with English language, he knew what he was saying. Let’s hope the food was ok as there were others seated before I got there (maybe they fell for the con?)Don’t be insulting me with your silly reply!!! No I don’t need your food!! Who do you think you are?? But when you’re looking at the newly opened shop from outside and your staff approaches and offers free lunch, at lunch time, then it’s tempting! I suggest you have a word with the staff in question, he knows who he is!!

The quality of the service has been improved over years, the restaurant has been moved upstairs and the ground floor has been nicely organized into a supermarket with authentic South Asian food and snacks - this creates healthy competition with the other supermarket on the isle of docks.

Stop visiting Lotus Floating restaurant after few years due to their service and foods are not up to my expectations, after a few friendly senior staffs have left. Recently I went back to give them a try, they have improved on their dim sum, but the tea quality is poor, taste is weird from tea pot, advise to improve it. Their service is average can't expect too much in many Chinese restaurants in London, in this restaurant due to many customers on the weekend, sometime expecting some queue without reservation. You can enjoy river sea view to see some high building. Two minutes walking distance from Crossharbour DLR station. Price is reasonable. Ckeaninss in the toilet is acceptable. Parking, can consider to park near Asda just less than 5 min.
