If you want to have a taste and feel of bangladesh then this place is for you. Talking about the deco and food. Its not 5 star place but its typical bangladeshi palce. So when i went there, i knew food and deco would be like back home. Food was really nice, especially the tea. I don't normally like sweet tea but it was prepared nice.Would come back again.

Horrific. They didn't clean their plate properly. I thought I saw some skid marks but turns out it's expired curry. No space at all. We brought 10 poratas with curry and all together it cost 91.50. Bloody rapscallions stole all our money

Bangladeshi restaurant. Cheap and quick service. Takeaway and some seating available. Not a place for fine dining. It has an authentic feeling. The decor and furnishings are like third world country. If you can overlook that, then the food and it's pricing makes up for it. Staff behaviour is not good, they should learn good manners.

Absolutely rubbish service. The man with glasses, slim fit and medium height who is a partner and also called as Sheff bhai. He needs to learn behavior and get trained. They made me sit and then when he saw 3 customers then he moved me from my table rudely. I told him I can't sit other places due to cold heat. And I walked out. He said nothing and gave a slight SMILE. I went back asked for his boss number and he shouted at me and told me that I should pay before I leave but they even didn't prepare my order. Just for money he misbehaved and I cared me because his calculation was 3 customer so let this one man go away. I haven't seen such a greedy rude customer service. Also they reuse oils so guys please becareful when you order, try to stay on counter while your food is prepared.

Very dirty place. The food was OK, but there was a staff member who was very kind and kept talking to us to make sure we're happy. If that man wasn't there, I would've given 1 star.

Bangladeshi Street food. Cheap and quick service. Takeaway and some seating available. Not a place for fine dining. It has an authentic feeling, as if you are in a Bangladesh cafe. The decor and furnishings are dated in the shop. If you can overlook that, then the food and it's pricing makes up for it.Kebab roll and a can of drink was £4

unbelievably delicious Bangladeshi curries, you won’t find anything like this in Birmingham! 10/10 for everything off the bat, a must try if you want to taste how our Bengali cuisine truly is....we ordered:.beef seena curry.tenga curry.keski fish curry.aye fish curry.meat akhni pilau.2 meat somosas.kalajam and jelebi..everything was just on the point, the flavour, spice, so delicious, felt right at home....the service of the staff here was top class, very polite and kind, always helpful, served us quickly too.. what can I say, the best Bangladeshi restaurant in Birmingham for sure. A must try!side note: i think they left the food out too long, so had the shakes the next day and so did my wife, hence removing 1 star.

Went in and asked if they accept card payments. The man tells me there’s a minimum spend of £10 for card payments. Which wouldn’t be an issue if everything didn’t cost £1.30. There’s no cash machines in the area either. You literally have to buy food for at least 5-6 people to reach 10£. I asked the guy how I can reach £10 if I’m on my own. He pretended not to hear what I said. He didn’t seem bothered when I left.I also found it funny coming on Google and seeing the restaurant as “Temporarily closed”. It’s been open for months.

Staff really welcoming and friendly. The moment we entered the place we were escorted/guided to our seating area. The food wasn't made in a short-cut manner, like other restaurants. Ponchokhana definitely needs a higher rating, thanks.

Nice restaurant at the heart of Whitechapel, the gateway to East London. Very tasty food, popular to the Bangladeshi community in East London, as well as others. Price is reasonable. Very good location, just outside the Whitechapel underground station. Parking is a problem at this area.
