Ruby House in Tower Hamlets

Disgusting. They don't have a clue about cooking. Tempura prawns were coated in some kind of stuffing - like batter.. Found a piece of foil in my noodles. Only rethinking about my meal makes me want to throw up

I am a vegetarian. I ordered plain broccoli and veggie noodles for dinner. When I began to eat my food I realised the broccoli tasted strange and not nice. I proceeded to inspect the dish and found several small pieces of meat with fat and a small bone! Totally unacceptable for a vegetarian dish to contain meat products. I have complained several times and Ruby House has ignored me. Also Deliveroo whom I ordered from couldn’t care less about it all. This is a pretty big issue and I will not let go. I kept the evidence and I have now logged in a formal complaint with The food standards agency and they’re being investigated.Utterly disgusting and disappointing to break a customer’s trust in such a despicable manner.

We are new to the neighbourhood, but I think this will be our to go to option for Chinese food. Meals are generous, affordable prices for a venue relatively close to the city, and good flavour and options. We actually have to control ourselves to avoid buying food here too often! I'd recommend it, definetively!

The cashier was really nice and the food was reasonably priced. Sadly, the Chinese chicken curry and the satay chicken skewers were not very nice at all. The boiled rice was fine. The other food they serve may be great - all I know is that the food I ordered was not.

Very average, bordering on the poor side Duck was pretty nice, a bit dry inside. Large portion for a quarter! Cucumbers were clearly old/had been left out Crispy seaweed was nice

I live really local and I have to say, for a local Chinese, the food is SO TASTY. I do not understand the bad reviews at all. We loved everything. Definitely a go-to every single time.

I always preferred this shop before lockdown, since opening back up, never am I going back after ordering a couple of days ago. Because they have put there prices up. Obviously to make up the loss of earnings which is a complete liberty. Just when people are just managing to get back to work if possible and being in a recession already and only gonna get worse they think it’s better to do this. Shame on you. Avoid if you can to make ENGLAND a better place. £30 through EAT for 2 people scandalous

One of the worst chinese shops there. Very dodgy meat, DO NOT TRUST THEM, and the lady is very hostile and rude and it takes a long time for someone to actually come and serve you. Lady barely knows any english so its very hard to communicate and the pricing is very unreaonable for the standard of food. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.

Love these guys, I ordered for the first time this week, and have been looking for a decent Chinese takeaway for a while. Got their set menu, which had chicken in black bean and egg fried rice, which was pretty good... But I usually judge on my fav dishes - sweet and sour chicken balls and my all time fav the crispy shredded beef, both of which they nail. I want some more of the beef right now. I think there are some cheaper ones out there, but I’d rather order from these guys and get something good.

Good and consistent, tasty soups and appetisers. Very standard british chinese food.
