Semz Cafe in Tower Hamlets

The place is great and it was actually open in early morning.I enjoyed the hospitality and the food.P.S. I paid by card(some people are mentioning it is cash only)

Went there for breakfast and definitely will be going again. Good food and lovely friendly customer service. I recommend you try the Turkish breakfast.

Well. . . don’t be deceived by the price. You get the worlds smallest slice of barely warm bread about 10 minutes before the food arrives, tea, which comes already with a lot of milk in, regardless of your taste and the smallest breakfast portion. They also decided to wait right till the end to tell us that it is cash only, with no signs indicating this anywhere. Overall awful service full of attitude, small portions and a dirty table covered in crumbs from previous people. Don’t bother. Two minutes up Roman Road there’s a proper greasy spoon, which won’t screw you over on portion or price!

Average food but excellently priced so it gets higher rating! Very slow service but they were doing their absolute best. Coffee not brilliant - but again the price is very good.

Lovely staff warm and casual enviroment as well as DELICIOUS pancakes, try to go here at least once every few weeks, highly recommend to anyone looking for breakfast/brunch somewhere with good prices 🎉 coffee is also top notch.

I know you’re a small business in difficult times, but I unfortunately had the worst coffee I ever had here. Absolute waste of money. I would really recommend a proper staff training for the people at the coffee machine. Milk was steamed in a plastic measuring pitcher and the espresso was pulled through twice, the portafilter not cleaned in between. Coffee had a horrible smell and after the first sip I had to throw it out. Nevertheless, the „foam“ was gone after crossing the street and I was left with a grey soup. Not pleasant at all. My coffee heart was bleeding. What a waste of coffee grounds flown over from across the street world…

On a day like this where some of the other cafes have queues out the door, people are really missing a trick by not detouring to Semz! Really tasty breakfast and excellent value! Very easy going about swapping an item out (the other cafes aren't). My only regret is not having a photo to share...sadly I devoured it before my brain could think!

Great little cafe!! Excellent breakfast options, especially if you like a fry up. They also have Turkish breakfast options too. Good prices, good quality food and the staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Lovely place, really clean, nice decor and lovely staff. The food was great and the freshly squeezed apple juice and their own lemonade so refreshing. Worth a visit.

Breakfast was really tasty and eggs perfectly cooked and and was presented well. Reasonable priced compared to other breakfast in the area and best of all they do fully halal breakfasts. The owner sema was really friendly and we ended up having a nice conversation. Will definitely be back to try roast. :)
