The Bhaji in Tower Hamlets

I ordered from these guys about 3 weeks ago and loved the food (apart from the madras which I found bland but the rest was so good I didnt care) What I received today was honestly shockingly bad. It was inedible to the point I ended up throwing the entire order in the bin and have wasted over £20 for food i cant eat.The lemon rice litereally had huge chunks of the lemon skin and pith cubed into the rice so every bite was very unpleasant and had the most awful taste as a result. When I ordered this a few weeks ago this wasn't the case so I'm not sure if they changed chefs or something but whoever told them that adding cubed chunks of the inedible part of the lemon was a good idea was obviously trying to see them fail.The lamb dansak that I ordered honestly had the strangest taste it wasn't very nice at all. I must say the last time I ordered the madras was very bland so bad curries seem to be an issue here. I'm generally not fussy so this isn't a case of it just wasn't to my taste it really was just bad I'm sorry to say.The saving grace were the samosas, bombay potatoes and the onion salad.Sadly I won't be returning but I certainly would encourage them to look at their chef as the competition in East London when it comes to good Indian resturants is fierce.

I order from this restaurant at least 2-3 times a month. it’s great and tastes so good.

Timely delivery. 10% discount when ordered through their app - great initiative of sidelining the regular delivery apps that charge 2p%+ commission which is then passed on to consumers. Will be ordering again. Good was of good quality and tasteful.

Good experience, food was decent not the greatest curry in the world. I ordered via their app which was a smooth process and they actually delivered in reasonable time.Please Note: Not in chronological order of how we ate.I ordered Lamb Chops, Naan Breads, Lamb and Chicken Biryani, Lamb Bhuna and Naga Lamb. Chicken Biryani was the better of the 2 Biryani's, it had a bit more flavour to it, Lamb was bland. Both Biryani's looked great. Curries were disappointing, just thick sauce and tasted too sweet. There was not much difference between the Bhuna and Naga Lamb, I ordered the Naga Lamb with the hope it would be on the spicy side as these restaurants tend to sweeten their curries with too much Tomato, sauce or Onions. Naan Bread's were slightly burnt at bottom, not a major deal. Poppadom's and Sauce were very good. Lamb Chops tasted good, slightly tough and 4 small pieces which was disappointing.Overall, I would say good better than many other restaurants, I would try again to find that true curry flavour, maybe give them a call so they do not make the curries sweet. Definitely does not come close to mother's cooking.

Been going to this place for ten years. Recently the foods quality have changed. The meats they use must of changed. It don't taste fresh or soft anymore. I've had to leave my meat. it looked bad and just have curry. I have let the manage know the quality of food has changed. Still Nothing has changed I ordered last week same problem. I don't want to eat Chicken or lamb that is not fresh. So go back to standards or lost a local customer for good!

Once you have tried their Bangla Biryani there is no going back, I don’t think I can settle for birayani anywhere else after this experience, by far the best Biryani I have had. I don’t know who else does Biryani like they do. Highly recommended.Disclaimer: You may get addicted, have it at your own risk :)

Ive ordered food first time from this place, i am really impressed with prices and quality of the food. Definitely recommend this place.
