A friend and I called in for a beer while wondering around the area. Really friendly people, also the best pint of Guinness I’ve had for a very long time, poured just right. We’ll definitely call in again if we’re ever passing.

The Lord Nelson📍 1 Manchester Rd, Isle of Dogs, London, E14 3BD🚇 Island Gardens🍺 £4.85 Moretti❤️ There are not too many pubs left on The Isle of Dogs so I decided to check out a couple on my way to the O2 in Greenwich. First stop was here at The Lord Nelson which is only a short walk from Island Gardens DLR station. It’s a good sized boozer, the bar is L shaped and leads out to a small courtyard beer garden. Considering it was only 2pm on a Thursday afternoon it was fairy lively with two fellas at the bar holding court and telling a few stories while some of the old boys mucked in with the few one liners. The beer selection is fairly standard but caters well for the average pub goer. This is a very traditional pub in look and feel and has been around since 1855, hopefully it stays around for many more years to service the local community..📊 Information correct on visiting 17/05/18

Very friendly atmosphere, enjoyed a pint with some pals whilst waiting to go into ocktoberfest. Great bar for sports fans because the pub had two huge screens playing the football. Plenty of seating and noticed a few sofa's also.

Being clearly from out of town, was greeted with some unwelcoming looks from the bartenders. He claimed that the kitchen burned down last year and they haven't got it up and running again so I compromised only to be charged 3.90 for a pint of fosters and 1.20 for a bag of crisps. Anyway I guess Its more of local regulars pub nice garden in the back and the beer is cold...cant really complain.
