Forest Tandoori in Waltham Forest

My new favourite local Indian, food super tasty and staff are helpful and fun. Bring your own bottle if you want an alcoholic beverage, they don't mind.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely meal. He had the lamb shank, I had a dansak, both were delicious. The staff and service was excellent. Highly recommend.

I've been coming back to Forest Tandoori for years now and it's never deviated in terms it's high quality food and great service. Some stand out dishes on this year's visit were the tandoori chicken wings, king prawn puri, and garlic chili dish (some of which are pictured below). You can bring your own booze from the off license next door and the corkage fee is very reasonable. I'm very much looking forward to returning next year!

So excited to be able to dine in at Forest Tandoori after moving to the area earlier this year and ordering in! Delicious food (we had the Sylheti Chicken & Achari chicken with a Tandoori Lamb Chop starter plus a surprise Tarka Dahl, complimentary to try) knowledgeable and friendly staff who recommended excellent dishes to suit our taste, great atmosphere on a cold autumnal evening. This is an excellent Indian restaurant. Indian is our favorite cuisine and this restaurant was highly recommended by a local. We were not disappointed. The new young owner - Khan, is impressive and enthusiastic about his restaurant. He has modernized the interior which is clean, uncluttered and welcoming. The food was equally impressive and delicious. He said they only use the best quality ingredients which is why their prices are slightly higher than others. I can attest that the chicken breast meat was fresh and juicy and the vegetables and spices perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. I had the chicken jalfrezi and my companions had the chicken tikka masala and garlic chili chicken which Khan had recommended. The daal and the garlic naan were to die for. Khan insisted on cooking us his specialty vegetable samosa as a parting gift which we took out with us along with the leftovers of the very generous portions. My only regret is that this restaurant is several 1000 miles from where I live. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Would highly recommend. A really lovely Indian restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious and not greasy or too oily. Loads of choice for vegetarian & vegan. We had a lovely meal, with excellent service from the staff who are keen to help you find the best dishes for you on the menu. Very reasonably priced. It is BYOB with £1.50 corkage per head - head next door to the off lincense which has a fab selection of wines and beer.

Authentic food and an excellent service! I would highly recommend coming here. They have a range of dishes to choose from and a variety of authentic tastes. There is something for everyone from mild dishes to very hot. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the service is prompt. It only took about five minutes for my food to arrive. I will definitely be coming back!

Warm, cosy Indian restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff. Food was extremely tasty with lots of flavour and spice just how I like it (very hot).I will be trying out their other dishes very soon.

Such a tasty Indian- definitely the best in Walthamstow. You can dine in here now and you can bring your own booze! Great saving. Service is impeccable. Highly recommend
