Kings Head in Waltham Forest

It's a very nice bar. I went for the first time, their burgers are very good, the environment is nice. I was very happy to be there. I will go again as soon as possible.

We ordered in advance as we were a large group but there was a bit of confusion on arrival. My vegetarian option seemed to be covered with beef gravy. Service good though and nice venue.

Food is pretty standard pub grub, certainly not a gastro pub. It has a nice garden area built during lockdown and interior decor and cleanliness is very good.The problem with the Kings Head was always the service. But happily that seems to have changed. The new staff are friendly and efficient, so well worth a visit now.

Very lovely pub, had a good time there. The barmaid christianna was very helpful and attentive to my needs. Would come back 👍🏻

This is our first visit to the King’s Head. Although the atmosphere was pleasant and the decor inviting, we were highly disappointed with the quality of the food.Firstly, we waited 45 minutes for our miserable starters. Bare plates, pretentious and pointless presentation, and lacked in every way. Our 7 year old could have prepared better.We then waited a further hour for our main dishes which continued to disappoint. My partner questioned “why has it taken so long?” to which the lady replied that they were a chef down, and “everyone is ordering food”. We had been scanning the pub for the entire previous hour, and no one had even had a bag of crisps, let alone a microwave meal.The lamb was fatty and bland, the veg was literally boiled veg, and the mash was tasteless, rubbery and you could use it to tile a wall. The onion rings could be used as frisbees. Everything was cold, and completely bland.It somewhat had ruined our evening after both having a busy day at the work and just wanted to sit down and have a nice meal. What a blooming shame.

The pub itself is quite nice. However, the quality of food isn't great and the wait time to eat is ridiculous. Waited nearly 2 hours for food that was cold, undercooked and lacked any flavour. Ordered pigs and blankets and they didn't even looked cooked. My friend still had 2 and was extremely sick the following day. Ordered rump steaks and they were meant to be medium rare. One steak was slightly more rare and the other was medium. We complained and were told they had left it under the light as we had popped out. We hadn't been long at all, so how could it have effected the food that quickly? They also said that the way the steak was cooked was how a medium rare would be cooked in this pub. So which was it? Was it we were stood outside, or you cook steak that way? Whatever it is, they weren't cooked the same. The rest of the food was stone cold. I tried some of mine and had 2 mouthfuls. The place organised a refund for one meal as they said I'd eaten more than half of my meal, which wasn't the case, but I was so sick of being there that I just wanted to leave!

Very enjoyable experience....great staff, especially the dark beautiful straight haired barmaid working on the evening of Friday 4th Feb. .. extremely attentive. Food was good as well. I'll be back

We just love it there. Friendly staff, great food and beer selection. There's a jar with dog biscuits at the back door so you can treat your pet and they're not completely bored during your meal.

This pub does a fabulous Sunday roast. Really generous portions. We were served by Steven who was very attentive as was the lady who checked us in. Definitely will be back and we loved the live music too.

Always a lovely friendly welcome from the staff. Beautiful outside seating area. Great food too if hungry. Only thing missing is a selection of craft beers!
