Leytonstone Spice in Waltham Forest

Though I've never eaten inside & only ordered takeaway, it's always v.enjoyable. Good value compared to the Star of India down the road, which I also reccomend and alternate between. Hot dishes like Madras & Vindaloo aren't as crazy spicy as can be found elsewhere so can be confidently taken on by those who like some heat in their curry.

Have been going here bi-monthly over the last ten years. Staff are very friendly, polite and helpful. Cobra is on tap and there is a good choice of wines. A relaxed atmosphere. Food is good and plentiful. A good place to enjoy good times with friends, families and partners.

The food was tasty and cooked to a high standard. However, we booked before arrival after they confirmed that they offered 2 for 1 Meerkat Meals discount. On presenting the bill it was apparent that they had lied to me when they stated that they no longer did Meerkat Meals due to Covid-19 and then lied again by saying that I never spoke to them or made a booking.

So I treated the family to a meal. Oh my god the food was absolutely fabulous. The best resurant I've eatin for a long time. We are already looking forward to our next visit. A hidden gem on high Street. Would recommend to any one.
