Excellent service, food is good too.

I looked at the reviews before going and wasn’t sure about the place, however I decided to go and we had a really good experience. Good service, friendly people and the food was really enjoyable. Soft fish, that didn’t taste like oil. Good chips as well, not too oily either.

Wonderful helpful people the fish and chips is not bad either.

Awful.. soggy batter probably cooked yesterday or at best lunchtime. Chips foul. Given 2 tail ends ...will not go there again

Really friendly staff with delicious fish and chips better than most chip shops in London. The staff hand peel and cut the chips daily while fish is freshly battered to order.Regular customers are well looked after and the staff like to engage in chat when they aren't too busy.

Use to go here frequently was very nice chips were lovely. I went recently few times and I'm shocked of the quality chips not freshly made dry was absolutely gutted with the food never again here if u want quality fish and chips u have to try the one in Baker Arms opposite the tesco. Period

It's called 5* for a reason. By far the best in the area. The fish are big and very tasty. The chips are what you would expect from a chippy. Service with a smile.Food Hygiene Rating 4 (2017).

Firstly, the positive - the fish here is very nice. We always order the Haddock - it's worth calling ahead to do that. The portions are huge too, which means I never eat one portion on my own. The downside is the chips, which often seem a little underdone (maybe they need frying twice). Still, it's the best take away (along with Lucky Star) in the immediate local area and I wish it was open as late as all the crappy french fry serving chicken shops.
