I went here with my partner before and thought it was fantastic so we went back for my birthday. I love the building, it definitely feels very cosy and the waiting staff were great, very accommodating. The wine was nice too. However, the food just wasn’t of the same standard as the last time we went - I don’t know if the kitchen staff has changed or maybe things just arrived in the wrong order but I was a little disappointed since we found it delicious the previous time. Specifically, the bravas were large and had a reheated potato taste, and the omelette was very solid and tasted reheated too. I almost always love calamari, but they were big rubbery rings we couldn’t even eat. The prawns were pretty good and we liked the bread, olives and alioli, and the Iberico ham with salted almonds.

Four of us had dinner there tonight. Whilst the food was fine this was some of the worst service I have ever experienced. There was plenty of staff however the lack of attention, interest and courtesy was staggering. All four of us would be reluctant to return for this reason.

We didn’t have a reservation but the team were so accommodating and quickly found us a table. The restaurant felt very relaxed, and we had a delicious feast of tapas! We can’t wait to come back and try one of their paellas

Superb food, attentive staff. We'll definitely come back.

Went in yesterday. The place looked clean, the atmosphere was calm and pleasant, the food was of outstanding quality and although we got a new waiter who was on his 1st day, fairly young and did not have a clue about drinks, he managed to do it well enough. We even saw a birthday party! It's a good place for family dinners and the occasional drinking with friends.

Orford Saloon Tapas Bar was one of our favourite restaurants to eat, service was always good, and the food was tasty. However, our experience a week ago was not great on the food front. We found a piece of hair in the meatballs, which to be fair was kindly taken off the bill and the wine was very nice. The croquettes had cheddar cheese and I know what Spanish croquettes taste like, when I informed them about this, they simply did not believe me. Furthermore, the tortilla looked like it was premade and quite clearly had just been pulled out of the fridge as it was stone cold. The quality of the food has gone down massively. Patatas Bravas potatoes were hard and looked like it had been blitzed in the microwave, along with the meatballs. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is very disappointing to know that they were excellent when they first opened, and standards have gone down.

It's a nice space that opens up as you walk in and unravels into the restaurant area. As an all day place (at weekends when we went) the ambiance ebbs and flows. It's a good mix of young families and friends enjoying a long lunch. The tapas feels safe and fairly limited for the adventurous. Quality is fine, but nothing really stood out and price is just about on the reasonable side. The drinks and wine list arguably have more talking points than the food. Service is easy going and as attentive as you would want / expect. If they upped their game and had a handful of really stand out dishes to supplement the more run of the mill tapas, and perhaps took a few chances with some more edgy plates I would come back time and again. As it stands it's pretty standard tapas, at ok prices with ok service and a decent wine list.

This place has always been a cut above the average neighbourhood Tapas bar and is well worth a visit. Consistently delicious food accompanied by friendly, if sometimes rather confused service, this has been a favourite round here for a long time. Standout dish - green beans with garlic.

We've been here twice - we love tapas so we're excited to try (my family live in Spain so we know tapas!) and it's local so it's convenient. Our first experience was just for drinks but it took them 20 to take our order and we were the only customers in there! Additionally they were having a management meeting and so we spent our entire time there listening to the inside scoop on the business which wasn't the most relaxing! We weren't going to go again but wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. It was pretty busy but we got a table and got drinks and food ordered. We ordered 5 tapas dishes - 3 of which arrived after 30 minutes. The other two never arrived, and we asked about them - when we asked the waitress, she didn't even ask the kitchen just told us they'd arrive! After asking another member of staff a second time 20 minutes later, the final 2 dishes (just bread and calamari) arrived but it'd over an hour and 15 mins since we ordered. It was pretty nice but it was SO drenched in garlic, it was hard to taste anything else!!

Very nice restaurant with pleasant efficient staff. Food was served quickly. All dishes ordered were presented really well with a good portion size. Flavours were ok but could have done with more spice for my palette. All in all we had a lovely anniversary dinner that was definately good value for money. I have recommended to friends and will return as it is relatively local.
