Lovely, comfortable pub, unfortunately we booked a table at 5pm on Sunday and when we arrived, they had run out of Sunday Roasts, the main reason we booked a table with our friends. People were still finishing their roasts which looked good. The choices we made from the normal menu, were a little disappointing and could have been a lot hotter we had the same problem with the deserts which had to be reheated before we could eat them.

I can highly recommend this welcoming pub just try the Sunday lunch. All fresh ingredients and a great plateful. Staff too are efficient and friendly. Nothing to much trouble.

I would like to take the opportunity to say a big thanks to the staff & Kitchen of the Royal Oak pub , Kings head hill E4 , where we celebrated our 50 years of being married with our family , The Food was good , The Beer , wines Etc flowed The service was polite and with a smile , Would recommend it & will be taking more visits to the Oak in the future , Thank you for a good day we all had , Regards Terry ,

Brilliant place great atmosphere. Lovely service well presented and cooked food. Was there for friends 50th and was alot off us and couldnt fault service. They had alot meals drinks to serve.

18th NovemberBooked for the wake of my mum's funeral.Kean & his staff were fantastic. The food and service were excellent. I had so many comments from friends & family. The Oak was my mum's favourite pub to eat in. They did her proud. Can't recommend them enough.

The food was first class but sadly the customer service let the pub down. The staff seemed to aimlessly walk around leaving the main plates on the table for at least 20 minutes after we had finished. I noticed that another customer had the same complaint. Its such a shame as we would be regulars if there was a warmer welcome and interest by the staff and what appeared to be the management. Come on people we rested during Covid. Everyone who wants to remain in service needs to up their game.
