2 hour wait for cold, watery food, which was tasteless at best. Chicken pieces so large clearly the chef had forgotten their knife. Won’t be getting our custom again. Ordered via my partner on ubereats. We don’t need a response, this review is to assist others.

Best in area for gluten free and vegan options. Would suggest ordering direct from website as you get decent discounts and the delivery is always much better than with ubereats. They always follow order notes and chase up any queries.Wish they did tofu or vegan chiken for example though as a veg option too, as it is 2021. Also wish the starters for vegans were better.Update: they now do vegan chicken and lamb and have 4 vegan thalis! 😋

Star of India is still the best Indian restaurant in East London. The service is excellent whether eating in at the new venue in The Plough & Harrow Public House, or delivery. The food is top quality, fresh, well prepared & delivered in a timely fashion. The proprietor Shah & his Team of award winning Chefs will cater for all needs & try to meet all requests. Ordering online is easy & delivery times swift. The prices are comparable with similar restaurants in house & for delivery. Staff are polite, knowledgeable & friendly. I'd highly recommend Star of India. Look out for offer codes for 'specials' & events . Thank You all

Best Indian restaurant in the area. Good food regardless of if you are dining in or ordering takeaway. A tad more expensive than the competition but I'd say it's worth it. The signature Special Chicken Jalfrezi is the stand out choice for me. Everyone I know who has eaten here highly rates this restaurant.

Star of India is the best BIR curry this side of New Delhli. Absolutely gorgeous food, you definitely get what you pay for, and the service is always fast and efficient.I have not received free bhajiis for this review.

Food delivered. It was pretty bland, the Dal was horrible. Naans were good and the paneer tikka ok, but pretty expensive. It could just be the vegetarian food, maybe the meat dishes are ok. This often happens. Won't be using again.

·

Very straightforward online delivery service- very good value ‘25% discount deal when I ordered. Excellent food, good portion size, well flavoured, not at all oily like some Indian restaurant food. Efficient and pleasant delivery person, wearing a face mask at door, which was appreciated. Recommend.

Another lovely meal. Loved that they were able to make the curry of my choice with chicken thigh instead of breast. So tasty. Portions are generous too. I switched from the restaurant I previously used because of ever decreasing serving sizes. I’ve found a new favourite,

We order regularly from Star of India. Tonight we were disappointed with the food and a missing item but upon phoning and emailing the restaurant to complain I couldn't have been more impressed with the way Ellis handled my complaint. Genuinely apologetic and offered a suitable solution.I believe things do sometimes go wrong and as a customer the business deserves the chance to put things right. Star of India did that tonight so get a good review and definitely get another chance next time we're looking for a curry.

Great selection of food. Never disappointed. Swift delivery. Favourites are tandoori mixed grill and paneer and chicken shashlick.
