Lovely pub for drinks, really beautiful classic pub vibe. However the food hasn't been great both times we've eaten here and now hesitant to eat here again. We've had burgers, the lamb koftas and veggie lasagna and everything was okay but not great and the prices dont reflect the quality of the food we feel. Everything is a bit too plain, lacking flavour and feels a bit cheap. Lots of space in the pub including a really great covered outside area with heaters.

Terrible management. It doesn’t take bookings on Sunday and even more difficult to get a table…. We arrived at 1.15pm and one - of many - of the tables that was booked @3.30, was denied by the manager who shouted at us saying that it was booked. Then she turned around and kept organising her paperwork for 15 minutes ignoring everyone else around - except another mum who was also told off because her kids were near the kitchen -.I saw enough for me to go again.

Food and drink a little expensive but nice ambiance and lovely food.

The bell is brilliant. Good food, drink and service. They’re great with kids and dogs. Only downside is they don’t show sport but still one of the best pubs around

Below average Sunday roast, especially for £15.50. Roast potatoes were soggy, what tasted like a frozen Yorkshire pudding and our veg was cold. When I asked for hot veg, they said the food has been outsourced now so they would have to take the whole plate back to the kitchen. I said I'd rather keep on eating and wait for new veg. Instead they came out with a plate, removed my veg and took it away before replacing. Very odd.Kids pudding a rip off. £3.95 for a ramekin with ice cream and a few cubes of brownie which probably cost them 30p to make.Beer and atmosphere ok though, so just go for that and avoid food

Beautiful pub, with amazing food. We are celebrating here our wedding anniversary now, and I'm delighted, the food, the music and the service are brilliant!

We didn’t manage to book on the phone as no one would pick up (we were busy said the lady when I mentioned it today) and I never got confirmation of the online booking I eventually did.So we walked in early today and we got a table. They forgot to prepare the food order die the kids and only served the adults. It took them 3x requests from us before they eventually checked and confirmed it was ordered but kitchen didn’t prepare. Kids were upset and hungry but no sorry from the staff. We noticed that the french beans on the adults Sunday roast were raw and cold😬 but staff just acknowledge and didn’t express any sorry or offer replacement. We eventually ordered pudding and this time they forgot 1 of the kids order. Again, no apology and we were asked to go to the till to order it and pay.Really unhappy with the mistakes and yes, it can happen but the fact that they didn’t make any gesture or even apologise was really not nice. It’s the 3rd time it happened to us in our last 3 visits and we were not impressed. Needless to say we won’t come back or recommend their pub!

I have been going to this pub for 6 years now, and whilst you dont really go there FOR the food, it was always decent. I recently went for a sunday roast and it was inedible. The meat was hard, the veg uncooked, the kids food was awful too. Such a shame. I would rather pay slightly more and have a really good meal than experience that. Hopefully this is something that will improve.

Decent pub in East London in Walthamstow. Fair prices for their menu with a reasonable selection of food. Nice atmosphere, sometimes busy, other times not.

Old pub feel with some nice features. Good sunday roast dinner, in particular the lamb and roast potatoes. The food came out super quickly. Decent choice of drinks, four real ale taps and keg beers. Small issue pint of lemonade was more like a half after the glass was filled to the top with ice and the lemonade was only filled up 2/3 of the way, the service was a little bit slow but expected for Sunday lunch, and there was a bit of a funny smell, otherwise a decent local and will be back
