The Dovecote in Waltham Forest

Lovely pub. Incredible beer garden, I’ve lived nearby my whole life and only visited this past week.

Great place to go to sink a few pity more people won't give it a try the new owners are really determined to wipe out the bad image allowed to build up due to previous management's bad running hopefully the young lady running the newly named THE DOVE will get local support and become a wonderful community pub for locals old and new to meet and form friendships

We popped into the pub on Sunday afternoon, the pub had such an amazing atmosphere the staff were brilliant and friendly. Iv lived on Friday bill for over 15 years and this is my local. I was happy to see it reopen under new management and what now is a lovely clean kept pub.We did want to sit in the garden and join in the amazing event that was happening although we could see it from the table we were seated at j side the pub.There was a complete sold out drag event everyone body seated and following covid which is always good to see. We was gutted we hadn’t seen the promoting of this event as were following the old Facebook page.We did have a chat to the manager who promised us a few more events and maybe a little bit of live music and a live band once covid is lifted. Again would like to congratulate the management and the team for being so brilliant first class service.Thank you

I wish I could give it minus 10! Hot summers evening during school half term and the place is closed at 8.45! No wonder pubs are closing down! By this example they’re jumping the queue and doing it for themselves. Pathetic attempt at a relaunch. I’ll stick to the Old Hall Tavern from now on thank you! Great staff and open!!!!

Enjoyed a few drinks in the beer garden. Nice friendly staff and reasonable prices.

It's like they forgot they were re-opening after lockdown. Got there to be told cash only(WiFi hadn't been installed). 20min return walk to nearest cashpoint, only to be offered card payment shortly afterwards when they were struggling for change!20 min wait to take a drinks order, then another 15 for the actual drink. It wasn't busy....just badly organised. Garden needs looking after. No hand dryers or paper towels in toilets.I really had high hopes for it, given that its got the biggest outdoor space in Chingford. But unfortunately it appears to just not be ready after 3 months. Nothing looks refurbished. Garden is untidy. I don't get it.

Friendly staff but tables need sanding and vanishing grass needs cutting and lots of cigarette ends on the grass. Such a shame as could be a lovely garden

Enjoyed a family meal here. The food was well cooked, fresh and nicely presented. Good service. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming. I will try the Sunday lunch next as friends also higly rated this.

Great pub, lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. They love dogs as well which ups the stakes for us, as we have two. Could do with a good cleaner though. We could recommend a very good one.
