Went here for lunch. A nice pub but food was average.

Lovely food and amazing service :) nice clean table too and felt very welcome. Will be back soon!

The food was melting, the meat was not chewed.The table was not cleaned.What a bad bar the quality is very low.

Food was OK. Service was awful - starting platter was served 1 minute before main courses?? Order was incorrect with Fish Chips & Baked Beans served !!! rather than Peas? Not returning for some time....

7 of us visited the hungry horse with clubcard vouchers 3 weeks ago. The staff are incredible, so helpful and happy. Nothing was too much trouble and using the vouchers was a breeze. The existing deals are still valid with club card vouchers so there’s 2 plates for £10.49 and the big plate specials come with a free starter or dessert, all still available. All of our meals combined came to £61.00. Such amazing value. The food was lovely, all arriving at the same time.We went back last night and again got the same lovely welcome, choice of table, assistance to order. The food was again really lovely. 4 adults starters and main meals cost a total of £31 plus drinks which aren’t included on the vouchers but not pricy at all.We can’t rate them high enough. The whole experience was great. We’ll be back again.

Popped in for the first time in 40 years as I had returned to Chingford on family business.Friendly service and excellent food made it a happy return for me and i would certainly use it again when I come back... 👍👍

I normally come here and enjoy it but wow today was not very good. Either burned or tasteless. This lasagne tasted and looked like it was a week old. Sort it out Greene Man, you can do better.

Staff hardly existent, rushed off their feet, Ordered drinks which had to be ordered from a set menu for some reason. Wanted blackcurrant and soda, no soda on menu had to have lemonade. Drink turned up blackcurrant at Bottom not mixed, no straw. Asked fir a straw and was given a tiny child's one as no big ones. Ordered fish and chips, no vinegar, was given lots of sachets of salt told vinegar out of stock. Overall. Not impressed as last time I came here it was good. Gone downhill very fast

Friendly staff. Nice meals from a big menu to choose from and served quickly. Good value for money. Good selection of drinks. Went there again recently on a Sunday afternoon , it was very noisy and packed, with kids running around and yelling/crying it was like a playground. But service was good as usual, we ordered our meals and waited a short amount of time for them to be served to us.
