Lovely pub, great night out with entertainment and good atmosphere

Enjoyed really good food this evening at the Old Hall Tavern. Good portions, and great tasting. Offer was 50% off main meals during September, so excellent value, but would be happy to pay full price.

Had the beat pub night on Friday that me and my have had out in a long time. You have got to have a Friday night at the tavern with Darren's banging food, Alison her sister and Lewis behind the bar with local Chingford people- all in all a great night!! Cheers

Nice pub held a wake there, staff and service was very good one drawback was the gents toilets not having working locks on the doors otherwise they were clean and tidy would recommend to anyone who looking for a good place

Lovely Sunday roast . Staff very friendly. Would definitely recommend, will be going again.

Fancied a pub lunch with my partner and thought we would try somewhere new apposed to the usual ( The greene man). We had scoped the menu before going and thought that it looked good with some great options for mains and dessert! What a mistake!!!We sat down inside, after a few minutes the lady asked if we were having drinks , we said we were just deciding what to have. We were choosing what we were having on the app ( that their website says you can use to order) and she approached us abruptly a second time saying " You know you have to buy something you can't just sit in here! " , we then informed her that we had ordered through the app and she said " The app doesn't work..." she wanted us to check if the money had been taken and made us feel like it was our fault that something they have in place doesn't work. Ironically the app did work and the cook come out to tell us one of our items was out of stock ( which wasn't an issue). I chose something else unaware to myself that it was more expensive until the lady said she will have to sort out doing a refund and charging us again for the difference ( in my opinion this should not have been mentioned as for the troubles experienced already in goodwill they should have honoured the difference). The food was of good proportion and good standard but the service was terrible and for this reason i will not be returning or recommending this place. Perhaps the app should be removed from the website to avoid any further disappointment from future customers.

First time here, stopped enroute, was smashing place, food delicious, waitress very very nice and friendly, portions amazing couldn't ask for anything better. Also car park at rear a little tight to enter and leave but spacious parking spaces. Do yourself a favour and try it, you won't be disappointed

Highly recommend this great venueStaff are super-friendly and efficient.Food and drink excellent value for money.Can't wait to visit again.Had a family gathering in the function room. Was fantastic. Staff were so friendly and accomodating. Would highly recommend for events and functions.

Great entertainment, live acts on Saturdays, great 80s night 1st friday of the month and karaoke 3rd fridays, nice friendly pub with a good function room available to hire

Lovely traditional pub offering a wide variety of main meals and quick bite snacks. Friendly experienced landlord and staff. Used by the locals. Had a lovely steak sandwich with melted cheese and a couple of pints of Guinness. Good selection of beers, spirits and soft drinks. Plenty of parking front and rear. Function room for hire.
