I was served by Zara today she was able to recommend wine to complement my food and I loved my fish and chips. The batter was so light I would like to thank the chef Ryan for the delicious food. I can not praise Zara enough she made our visit really enjoyable. So much so my mum has booked to come back tomorrow!

Food was terrible I ordered hunters chicken I couldn't cut through the chicken nor the bacon the bbq sauce had dissolved all under a layer of thick melted cheese which was bubbling like larva came with jacket which was hard and coleslaw was so runny it slide of my fork.So I ordered a replace of ham sandwich wish I never bothered it was too thick bread was dry and put onto of salad one side and chips the other so I didn't eat anything. Service was slow and it wasn't busy and the pud was freezing cold we had to keep our coats on I would not go back nor would I recommend

Thank you Dan, Sarah and her team on the night who helped us from start to finish at our recent party. It was so important to us for this to go well, with a joint Birthday party for my sons. Everything was there that we needed throughout. The place looked great, the staff were brilliant the food was amazing and so many of the guests commented on the night and after.Special shout out for Sarah who leads from the front. The night was a huge success and we all think you do much. Peter, Wendy, the boys and all.

I don't normally leave reviews however we had such a wonderful visit on Sunday. Our waitress Zara was very welcoming and had a lot of patience with my son after he found out she watches paw patrol to. Will definitely recommend here to my friends.

The complete visit and experience was pretty shambolic.I booked the table at 18.12pm on Friday the 21st January for a Sunday carvery on the 23rd January. The five of us arrived dead on time to be informed there was no table booked in my name, after several ridiculous suggestions such as "are you sure you at the correct Plough" we were finally told we could have a table.40 minutes later we were still waiting for the menu's, cutlery and condiments. Finally, 50 minutes after arriving we were invited to go to the carvery. To be fair the food was actually fairly good.Main course over we were given the desert menu's and each chose our desert although one of us wanted an Eton Mess but was told the restaurant couldn't get any strawberries, I am pretty certain that a huge great supermarket only 1 mile away would have had enough strawberries to make fifty Eton Mess, almost 25 minutes later the deserts finally arrived and once again were fairly good. All of this and the restaurant was far from packed. In summary, food is OK but attention to detail and service are sadly lacking.I would not visit again or recommend the Plough to anybody.

We went for a pre Christmas meal at lunchtime today and received excellent service from Zara and Vanessa.Despite Covid I felt it was a comfortable, safe environment with plenty of space between tables. We really enjoyed our food and dining experience and will be back in theNew Year.Seasons greetings to all the team.

I love this place and come here once a month with a bunch of ladies from work, staff are always very lovely, and always deal with our fussy orders and requests. The food is lovely and the pub has a nice calm vibe to it, there is a small play area for kids outside as well as lots of tables and benches.Zara our waitress tonight was lovely as always, as discussed, please could you add a cookie dough with ice cream to the menu we all want it next time 😂 thanks

Nice beer garden, very plush kids play area. The pub is situated close to pleasant walks but it's proximity to a busy road sort of detracts from the lovely countryside nearby. The food is OK, well cooked but nothing special. The drinks are premium with a price to match. A decent pub, but it has strong competition from other pubs in the area.

Been here a few times but this time it was after a long walk with the dog and it was coming close to dinner time as we excited the footpath across the street and saw it ahead of us. It was a welcome sight as it's a lovely pub with a warm and friendly feel inside. They are incredibly dog friendly too and let your friend dine inside with you even offering water and snacks. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the food is really good. Not the biggest menu but what they do is nice. The homemade soup was boiling hot and very fresh tasting and the deep fried Nachos are amazing.
