Sorry, bad review warning. :(Im little fussy about Chinese food and tend to judge a lot Chinese restaurant by my favourite dish which I've had many in many times around the world. Crispy chilly beef, it's a fairly simple dish. The Woo Lot version I had was terrible it was dry there was no sauce, it was overcooked and the beef was chewy and unedible. I ended up throwing it away after a few tries.

Food is fairly nice, however, the service isn't great. They staff act as if they are being forced to serve cutomers. They need to look around and realise they would not have a bussiness without customers!!Typical!!

Disgusting sub standard takeaway! So disappointed. The crispy lamb nearly took a tooth out. The chowmein was a tasteless pile of mush! I did try & complain, but the very rude lady who answers the phone hung up on me whilst pretending that she didn’t understand me!

Today, I waked into this place using crutches after not having been there for 2 years. This is due this one particular RUDE MALE WAITER/MANAGER (who has been there for a few years or so, at least).I will explain further: A couple years ago, when i was badly DISABLED and in a WHEELCHAIR, i attended the restaurant a few times with my other half. Each time, this RUDE MAN was patronising, overbearing and unwelcoming, but friendly to some of the other customers. At one time, he proceeded to wheel me to the table, without checking if i or my husband was ok with it, then patronisingly asked if i could put my breaks on, making sure i did so, before he left. (He wasn't genuinely trying to help at all, but bypass us each time). After the third time of being made to feel like an incompetent child, I vowed I would never go in there again. I didn't complain to anybody, after all, they served lovely food.TODAY, after a 2 years, we thought we would try them again. We went in, i walked in using my crutches. I went to sit down with my other half, and the same rude man (i recognised him) was definitely unfriendly as he served our food, yet he was welcoming to some of the other customers that were sat down (same as before). After we finished eating, using my crutches, I proceeded carefully toward the toilet. Just outside the toilet area my crutch slipped twice on what felt like a greasy floor. I had to hold onto the doors etc so i would not slip and slide walking into toilet. When i finished, i went over to the rude man told him that the floor was extremely slippery, that my crutch slipped, and i could have fallen. He could see i was on crutches. He said that there was a sign saying "wet floor" as he had just mopped it (which he hadn't, as i was there for around 30 minutes and did not see him do it). I told him firmly, that i could see the sign, but i could tell the difference between a slippery floor, due to it being wet, and a slippery floor due to grease. He then dismissed me with a "thank you" to get rid of me, turned his head away, and continued his work. No apology, no attempt to see what the problem was. It may or may not have been grease, but It was potentially dangerous. This man's customer service is awful. (He needs to leave, but I have a feeling he owns the place or manages it.) Maybe my disability makes him uncomfortable. But I won't go there while he is working there. AND it is still CASH ONLY, payments, annoyingly!!! Shame, as years ago, I would have said it was the best Chinese around.

We ordered food from Woo Lot this evening for delivery over £20 worth. The Special house curry was nice but eating the dry spare ribs we discovered that it wasn’t cooked properly. The joint was raw and pink. So decided to phone them to let them know. I was shocked at the response. A man answered and said, ‘next time when you order spare ribs, ask for it to be cooked properly’. I said to him that I shouldn’t have to say that, because I’ve ordered food from them before and it was fine but today’s wasn’t properly cooked. He further said, there’re very busy and there was nothing he could do. I said you need to deliver a properly cooked portion of same thing. He replied and said if I didn’t like it, I should bring it back to the restaurant and they’ll change it or I should buy food somewhere else if I didn’t like the food.I called again to speak with someone and this time a woman answered and said the same thing but she did apologise and said I should bring it back. My answer to that was if I was able to come out I would have had the food picked up and not ordered for delivery.I was really surprised at their answer and behaviour. It’s a shame that in London Community a business like Woo Lot has ZERO public relations. I may be one customer but they have lost my custom. See photos attached.

The food is excellent, the waiter never as accommodating as I would appreciate but that's probably my age showing, food is first class for Leyton, absolutely love it, and visit when I'm able to,clean restaurant, open kitchen, really good, love the chicken balls

Nice place for food but staff could be a bit more professional and friendlier. Plus one of the chef kept staring at me which was extremely uncomfortable for no reason, I couldn't wait to leave after having dinner.
