Found hair in my food. I'm vex because it was actually tasting good. It's Put me off big time

Amazing food, all of it delicious. Deep fried prawns are really good. Slight order mix up, but they sorted it and we’re very apologetic.

Hate to knock a local business but despite having a bad first experience, we gave Indie Roots another shot. This time we had the curry goat and it gave me and my husband nasty stomach cramps. Other reviews mention the food being cold, so Indie Roots might have reheated our food too. I checked Waltham Forest Council’s hygiene rating and it is lower than the one on the sticker in the window at Indie Roots. I really hope the owners fix things before someone gets seriously ill.

The West Indian food at this place is great. Best in the area in my opinion. Which is why I go out off my way to buy my food from here. Whoever manages this place however, is either inexperienced or lazy. It’s like this. You might go there when they’re supposed to be open and they’ll tell you, “nahh, we’re closed” or even worse, “we’re out off food” and they never answer the phone.

The guys really need to warm up the food properly. Went to collect a takeaway meal for the family yesterday - every single meal was cold. It was only a 10 minute drive. This is now the 3rd/4th time this has happened which is why I’ve chosen to leave a review on it. Not on guys. But the FOOD IS AMAZING! Have been to plenty of carribean eateries but the food that comes out of this place is just brilliant.

Spontaneous trip to IR and we loved it. Great service. Jerk chicken was delicious. Kids loved the food too. Definitely recommend and will revisit!

Really good food with great flavour. Slightly longer than expected wait for the food to arrive, but it was so worth it as the food tasted freshly cooked and not reheated. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Will definitely be visiting here again.

Amazing place.I got:- Jerk Chicken Wrap- Seasoned Fries- Plantain- ColeslawEverything was great, and at really fair prices.Highlight was probably the jerk sauce, which is the perfect amount of heat and taste. And the plantains are incredible.Only thing I would change is the coleslaw portion was a little small.

We ordered from here last night, and although we had to wait a bit for the chicken to be fully cooked, the food was WELL worth the wait! The price was excellent for what you get and the service was attentive and very helpful. I was so happy to eat this food. Definitely worth a visit!

(Sept 2020) This place is sensational! I had the boneless jerk main with plantains and it was ridiculously tasty. I'm honestly still thinking about it hours later, I hope these burps never end. Staff are genuinely nice and the prices are great value. Really looking forward to going back and trying the other options. Also, if you like it hot, ask for the chilli sauce.Update Jan 2021 (reopening after a few months closed): food is still as sensational as before. Had it last night and don't want the sweet memories of the flavour to ever end. For the love of Jah, please stay open and don't change!
