In a nutshell, disappointing. We ordered 5 dishes but only the tortilla and the octopus are tasty from my POV. If you have ever been to Spain or some decent Spanish restaurants, I doubt if you will enjoy Sabor much. I’m a big fan of grilled fish and that’s my ‘go to’ dish if I go to a seafood restaurant. The lemon sole I ordered here is a massive disappointment - the fish is overpowered by the lemon and it tastes bitter. For the food I will give it 2 stars and the extra star is for the service. It is such a shame that the food is just mediocre here as we did book it 2months in advance.

Excellent experience at The Counter. Premium service, with a truly superb menu. I sampled: Queen scallop; sea urchin; crisp-fried artichoke; monkfish tempura with chili jam aioli; octopus, mojo rojo, baby potatoes; and goat’s cheese ice cream and licorice sauce. Highly recommended, and certainly a prime exemplar of the Michelin star.

Just had to go early to q for ground flr tables. We went at 515 b4 they open at 530pm -lucky us we got in first sitting. It was SO worth the early dinner. Amazing food and service - Pepe was wonderful attentive. Had their Sangria supper addictive! Special mention is their cuttlefish 😋 Actually nothing eaten is less than delicious !! Now am thinking of going back for the rest of their menu!!

Just go. The food is sublime, the communal atmosphere around the counter is great, and the service was impeccable. I’m not sure you can order anything bad, but we particularly liked the ox tail, the “Sabor sandwich,” and the rhubarb dessert. It’s just a shame they didn’t have basque cheesecake the day we were there, as I’ve had it before and it’s amazing.

Fantastic!!! Amazing atmosphere and even better food. I would have loved to order everything on the menu if I could!. The staff want you to have a good time and are super friendly. Will be back on my next trip to London :)

To start with, we managed to get a table on the same day of the booking (considering it was a Saturday night). We arrived a bit earlier, which was not an issue but we could see all areas of the restaurant were full and the queue was well managed. We were greeted and made aware that we could wait for a table at the bar area.Bar seemed quite busy with people ordering drinks while waiting for table. Usually, you'd expect a drink order to be taken by the staff behind the bar, however, we were approached by a bartender from a different side of the bar which I think is a nice and personalised touch. Afterwards, we could see he was constantly present on the floor and making sure everybody had drinks while waiting for tables. We were seated upstairs and Carol (our waitress) came up to us straight away. She offered an excellent explanation of the dishes (specials), followed by great service and tasty food! We could see that Carol got occupied with other tables later on but her colleagues jumped in to help her with our table. We did enjoy our food, especially prawn croquetas and artichokes, and we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. The saffron honey ice cream was not for us though, but there are plenty of other desserts to try.An almost perfect experience, cosy restaurant - will be back!

So when I was taken to this place I saw the name I thought why do I know this name and then when I saw the chef and realise that she is a MasterChef: The Professionals Guest Judge, Nieves Barragán Mohacho. Now I have to say that tapas is probably one of my favourite types of food so to have the pleasure of eating this superstar of Spanish cuisines food is quite a highlight in my life as I used to eat tapas almost weekly at one point, even if it wasn't so refined where I was eating it I had the idea of what I like.Well well well everything was brilliant the way how food was prepared for us it was like everything was getting better and better I'm almost embarrassed to say that had an emotional response after eating all the food I wanted to cry and memories of the two main people who influenced my Spanish experience flooded my memory, unfortunately, both of these people are no longer with us.So we started with Payoyo Croquetas, followed by Seared Tuna, Ajo Blanco..... Yum. Next up was the Hispi Cabbage & Piquillo, which to my surprise I enjoyed I mean typically I love my meat but this was one of the best vegetarian tapas dishes I've had period! Iberian Pig's Cheeks I knew every time I have something there is a cheek is amazing but my God this was heavenly, after that Presa Iberica 5 Jotas Moj....... All I can say is that was a beautiful piece of meat covered in a sauce that was so Delicious a believe this is where my emotional Responses started To Kick in hard. Omg since my very first time coming to Spain I had tried octopus and always loved it well I can honestly tell you now that I have never really had onto the post before until I had it from this restaurant my godFor I decided to order some dessert wine cool and I was recommended by my patron next to me to order the rhubarb tart, Bombas De Tres Chocolates, both these desserts could've made me give up my soul to certain entities that I shall not name.I would happily come here again not a problem And what made it even better inexperience was the fact that I saw everything prepared in front of meThe service was nice

Fantastic experience as always. I can proudly say I’ve been following Jose, Nieves and the team since the Fino Charlotte St days. Experience that can hardly be matched. Great service, foods are out-of-this-worldly. Here’s to many more successful years !!! AAA

Gorgeous, simply gorgeous! I have been desperate to come here for so long. My partner booked this for my 30th and I cannot praise highly enough. Wonderful staff, welcoming, warm, knowledgeable and just fabulous! The atmosphere in El Asador was brilliant, people laughing, joking and talking, it was electric! we watched the hugely talented chefs preparing food in the kitchen which was absolutely mesmerising! The food was honestly the best I’ve ever eaten, FLAVOUR FLAVOUR FLAVOUR!!! Wow! I’m on cloud nine thank you SO much for such a magical, Mediterranean, love filled experience. I will be returning, it would be criminal not too! X

5 star spanish cuisine!!! Cool that you can still have a drink and a delicious snack while waitin’ for the counter or upstairs. Michelin guide award in 2018 is well deserved!
