Poor hand hygiene practices. I saw one member of staff stroke a customer's dog and feed it a treat. The staff member then prepared a drink without washing their hands. They were unapologetic and smirked when I raised my concerns.

The food was okay, but we were faced with uncomfortable micro aggressions by the staff. Made me and my friend feel unsafe and unwelcome as Black people. We also heard the staff gossip about another customer when one of the staff members expressed that they “fucking hate that guy”. An unpleasant experience, be aware.

This cafe is wonderful, very busy all day. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food and drinks to a good high standard.

Victim of its own success. On weekends, it can take 30 minutes in a queue to get a coffee. No thanks.

Very pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and efficient. The café is very pretty with lots of windows to enjoy the view of the common. I ordered the grilled haloumi with avocado etc on sourdough with an added poached egg. It seemed quite pricy for what it was (£11 or so in total) but it was worth it. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the beetroot chutney and seed crisp were delicious. The picture doesn't do it justice. I'll definitely go back.

Some of the best coffee in the area, outdoor seating all year and ability to order and pay via app from table, very COVID safe.

Stunning find, perfect for the park - food is really well prepared and presented, service is good as well. It can get busy but there’s plenty of room inside and out. Coffee is really good - childrens meal portion is big! Really enjoyed it here and will definitely be back!

Great cafe on the park. Ideal for families with young children. (Most ppl that I have seen here for that category). Not ideal for quiet, reading or studying which is fine. Just good to know in advance. Coffee was good and food looks good too. There is also an outdoor space that looks great for summer. One area for improvement: with the high volume of people through the door and lots of young kids around the benches and tables sometimes get a bit dirty.

The recent refurbishment is really nice, the interior seems a lot brighter and more spacious. The service seemed a bit slow and chaotic but they were quite busy on a bright sunny day. Lots of seats outside overlooking the Common which is beautiful. I’d rather drink my coffee out of a mug rather than a jar though, given the choice. Toilet was out of order which is a bit disappointing.
