I visited this place on 12th March 2022 for dinner and I must say, best asian food in a while. We usually do not eat asian food from restaurants but we went to Spice Village Tooting on a recommendation and I must say that we are impressed with the hospitaquality, taste, and definitely felt on the contrary to some of the reviews we have seen online.Overall 10/10, as the service was excellent, with a friendly and genuine staff. The food not only looked fantastic but it was full of taste and flavours and well worth every penny. We had, Mixed Grilled, their signature Masala Fish, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Karahi, Chilli Paneer, Egg Fried Rice, Papri Chaat and Mango Lassi. Probably one of the best asian food experience in whole of South of London. Everything was awesome and flavours was bursting right through to the last bite.Definitely recommend.

The food was tasty fresh authentic indian/pakistani style.Food choices are bit less in terms of Variety so can say OK Ok.Staff, management was very friendly, helpful.Service was slow on weekend so lost a star there. They have 40/60 booking ratio so had to wait for an hour even though we called since it was fully booked.Recommendation : Should play trending Indian/Pakistani songs. UK Hiphop Not for me.Overall decent place great food.

Went for a friends birthday, nice decor and ambience. The food was good particularly the mixed grill and dynamite prawns.Good portion sizes for the price and presented very well. Desserts were okay. Shahid our waiter provided excellent service as well as most of the other staff being very friendly and welcoming. The only let down was the one waiter who seemed annoyed whenever we asked for anything, just walked off without replying to us, and then as we paid the bill very rudely commented about how we didn’t tip much, (service charge was included and we gave extra) which was quite shocking to us. Overall would come again as despite his behaviour the professionalism of the other staff made up for it.

Attended spice village on 26 February 2022 with my husband. We waited 50mins was was not too bad. There could have been more seating to wait. The staff were helpful. However there is a large Muslim community whom attends the restaurant including myself and my husband. The downside there was music playing, and this was of an explicit nature. There were children in the restaurant with their family whilst this was playing. This establishment does not require music as the restaurant speaks volumes by itself. The food was wonderful although could have been heated more temperature wise.

In my opinion spent whatever money they had on the aesthetics so if you want to to take a picture with the flower wall then you're in the right place BUT if you actually care about what you eat then avoid at all costs. The food was atrocious, you can get better from your local takeaway and eat in the comfort of your home. I'm staying away and would recommend everyone else to do so too.Got the butter chicken and it was flavourless, extremely creamy and undercooked. The samosa chaat wasn't much better but i do applaud them for the way they cooked the chanay. Got a few more dishes but to be honest had a few bites of each and it was terrible. After experiencing this from such an established place I paid and complained to the manager and his response was 'you eat your mother's, sisters or wife's cooking because you have to but this, THIS is real food'.Smh, I left the food and went down the road to a local takeaway which served better flavoursome food.

The easiest thing in the world for a retail /restaurant business to do is making it physically attractive which spice village have achieved . Everything else isn’t as easy . Unhelpful/bordering rude doorman . Classic case of waiters not having any kind of customer service understanding, this I find is true of most restaurants of this type regardless of the quality of the food . My tip (not monetary!) is focus as hard on service as you did on decor and you may get better reviews

Had seen this restaurant on tik tok and had to try. Wow what beautiful decor, west end upmarket ambience in the heart of tooting. Very friendly managers and a lovely young girl who made our whole experience fun. Lamb biryani was delicious, highly recommend. Chicken tikka biryani nice too but not enough chicken.Kebab roll was super tasty. Mango Lassi lovely but could have been colder .Finished off with my favourite Faluda, 😋Prices very reasonable, will defo be going back soon.

This is my first time at Spice Village Tooting .We enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They keep coming and investigating if we need anything else. Chicken biriyani was yummy, Overall experience was good. Lovely decor and for the food and presentation i would say 9/10 😀. Would recommend to family and friends they have nice variety of desserts to try.

What a shame! From one of the best to something I would not recommend. Masala fish was oily. Butter chicken wasn’t Butter chicken, when we complained the man took it away and bought back the same dish with just some extra butter mixed in. The food wasn’t fresh! All reheated. The best thing of the evening was the salad and even that’s not free unlike everywhere else in Tooting. Spice Village Team. I understand you have issues on opening weekends. However you had too many staff trying to run the restaurant. The man at the door is just rude. Your not running an establishment that needs security at the door. I would suggest you need to sit down and think about a few things. On the upside you have done an amazing job of making the restaurant look outstanding. You need to concentrate on the quality of food. And need to get rid of the guy at the front door.
