Nice little pub overlooking a beautiful green. Staff are friendly and attentive. Drinks and food were really nice. Would come back if I was in the area!

Came here for Sunday lunch.. a few notes for improvement but overall a lovely pub. Unfortunately at every point we had to ask for attention, from ordering drinks, to placing the order, to having to ask for plates to be cleared twice as we were left with them for over half and hour as well as having to ask for dessert menu. All the staff were actually really lovely but didn’t seem to have sections so every table around us appeared to have the same level of service and everyone had to grab someone’s attention to order anything. This often happens in pubs that pivot to table service, the lack of training is obvious unfortunately.Seems to be a lack of staff organisation so I don’t think it’s the floor staffs fault as everyone seemed to be busy just not hugely effective in their busynessRoast dinner was lovely, sticky toffee pudding was delish but not remotely hot, but it was nice enough to not be a big deal..Nice vibe and as I said, all the staff were friendly, just needs some operational management..

The Althorp is a small, friendly pub just outside Wandsworth Common. Used as a venue for post-run drinks and catch-up on the Clapham Chasers Monday night social run - so along with water and a pint of beer it's always a joy to enjoy chips and nachos!

Cosy local pub, good selection of beers, Staff are friendly, and the pub food is better than others down the same street,

The Sunday roast here is just amazing. The staff are excellent and it's a gorgeous pub any day of the week

Had a pint of Ghost Ship here and it tasted of pure vinegar. It's a nice pub but the beer is not well kept.

Ordered steaks which were the best part of the meal but I forgot to take a photo. The same cannot be said of the desserts. We ordered the banoffee to share but when we saw the size of it, then got the cheesecake. The banoffee wasn’t great - the bananas were few and far between and not fresh at all. The cheesecake quite possibly was the worst I’ve had in a long time. The mango sorbet was excellent though!

12.50% service charge on a quick after work pint? I thought we had all accepted slightly higher pint prices post covid. Is £11.50 for two average pints not enough?Struggling to see the £1.56 additional service picking two pints off the bar provided.

Really poor roast beef dinner, no finese, loads of boiled vegetable cut in huge chunks. Nobody wants to eat half a parsnip boiled and a flat Yorkshire pudding that was probably cooked in the morning, it tasted like cardboard. After paying £17:50, I was very disappointed. I had been to the Althorp a few months ago and I enjoyed the food. I would not recommend for a Sunday Roast!

Lovely pub. Great for Christmas dinner too!
