The Avalon in Wandsworth

The Avalon is a place I visit semi-regularly. On Sundays it is absolutely rammed. I would say it’s best to make a reservation. On a weekday with a football match on, most tables in the pub area become full from reservations, but the restaurant area is huge (and very pretty).Now, I would said that The Avalon has the best pub pizza I’ve tried thus far. They have a more interesting pizza menu than usual, but will also modify it to fit your preferences. For me, a good pizza is in the stringiness of the cheese and the tomato base; this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s priced at around £30 for a 20 inch and about £13 for the 12 inch. I have also tried other bits off the menu in the restaurant and found them all to be quite good quality for the neighbourhood pub.Quite a mixed crowd which I enjoy. The staff are attentive and accommodating always.

We hired the private room on Friday night for my sisters birthday. The food and drink was fantastic and excellent value for money. From start to finish the device was incredible, especially by Heaven. She catered to all of our needs so effortlessly. Ilia thank you for all of your help and you have a superstar on your team!

Had the best evening. Seline managed to get us a table and then gave us the best service for the whole evening. The night was fun and she was amazing, suggested their old fashioned which was 10/10, and made sure we all had the best night. What a babe.

Surprisingly got a table inside on a Friday night.It's a nice pub with a good atmosphere but I had to deduct a star because it doesn't smell clean ( it reminds me of a dirty mop or damp cloth) so in turn that put me off the food.The outside area is nice but usually busy unless you arrive quite early.

Selin was the most lovely and attentive server; especially with my dog AJ. The food at the Avalon is great and a fantastic mid week treat!

I was there for my friend's birthday on Saturday. Me and another person in our group bought two bottles of prosecco which we had on the table next to us in an ice bucket. I stepped out for 5 minutes, but my friends were still near the table and when I came back the bucket was gone. My bottle was full and the other one was 3/4 full.We went up to the bar to ask if they knew what had happened and we were told that there was nothing they would do about it.We'd spend £60 on these bottles for the staff to clean them without checking and then for the manager to be dismissive and refusing to do anything about it.Very disappointed. Will not be coming back.

Lively place to go. Young crown. Good food. I did have a problem with a bar staff. Didn't want to serve the old guys. Just the young ladies. Spent big money. But will visit again. The staff may had had a bad day

We booked last minute on Sunday not expecting much and were overall were very pleased! The starters were delicious (get the baked camembert!), generous roast portions and friendly staff. The roast potatoes weren't great and the wine was average - stick to beer. The place had a friendly welcoming atmosphere and was very busy! Would definitely go again.

A huge pub easily reachable by transport.I loved it style and the various selection of gin.I don't know her name but the girl with blu hair was polite and sha was so attent costumers , more complicated instead call the other staff attention.No full satisfied, Went there mainly for the garden which to my regret is only open in the summer and closed the rest of the year

Love the layout of this venue, huge change fro when it was The George. The garden area is fantastic nothing over the top just the basics. Service and welcome was very pleasant. Seems like it can get busy so I'd recommend booking or call ahead. Meal was nice. I did enjoy my time here.
