We attended a tango event in the upstairs room. The atmosphere was magical and really good value. The bar downstairs has great beer, including some interesting ales and the staff were super friendly. I totally recommend this place, it's a terrific, traditional pub, which really serves the community. These sorts of places are not easy to find these days, please support them.

I cannot rate the Bedford more highly or the staff with more warmth. The place is a landmark to SW London. I have taught 3 yoga classes a week in the ballroom now for a few years and have always been so warmly welcomed and looked after. Everyone who works at the Bedford shares the same interest in ensuring that each visitor leaves with a very pleasant experience of the venue. The food is great and the menus varied. I LOVE IT!

Went few times for food and drinks and I had great time, food was a bit pricey (or the portion a bit small) but almost always very good. Cannot fault the drink department as you are spoiled with choices. I’ll definitely be back for a gig, I have high expectations!Edit: and I did it, went back for a good night of live music and it was superb, great artists, a big pizza and a lot of fun, not to be missed.

One of the formative pubs of the London Comedy scene. Big old boozer, famous for the Balham Poisoner case. Good range of beers, friendly staff and you can see some of the comedians who've worked here in the picture

Had a fantastic experience at a queer event last week! The atmosphere was vibrant and the staff on the bar were really friendly. The main reason you’ve received 5 stars however, is due to the deliciousness of the pizza. WOW. Beauts. Would return again for dinner with friends.

Fantastic pub. Good beer on hand pump..food is surprisingly good and then the live music and comedy is fantastic all in a really good side "room".Very very close to Balham station and underground too.

Very busy so definitely book ahead. We shared pizza and sweet potato fries, both were average. Quite short staffed so we waited a long time to get a drink. Nice decor and ambiance, especially in the front part of the pub.

I couldn't recommend the Bedford enough. My parents stayed here over Christmas and the place is stunning and very welcoming. My mum tested positive on Christmas day so all sorts of new arrangements were to be made on the day with a new room for my dad, my mum getting food delivered etc. The team was so so helpful and always available to help. I tested positive after that so I couldn't visit my mum but they made sure she was always looked after (from a distance) and had everything she needed.Becky, Ethan and their team went above and beyond to help us during this time so thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. The hotel and pubs look lovely, the position is pretty much perfect with a train station and a tube station so close (but still quiet), the rooms are big and comfortable. The food was also great and you get a 30% off if you're staying in the rooms, so do yourself a favour and book a stay at the Bedford :)

Best pub in London.- Great food. The camembert is unreal. Good pub grub and a decent roast.- Friendly staff and good service.- Lots of events.

Lovely venue & location. Nice rooms. Very good positives. Lighting in the bathroom not strong enough to shave or do makeup (wife's comment!) Party scene finishes at 2pm so leave your sleeping until later. Super service.Pub is lovely. Definitely would stay again all things considered
