The Good Earth Express in Wandsworth

Very good food, definitely worth the price tag. Service is very efficient but still friendly. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively but didn’t feel too busy even when full on a Friday night. Highly recommend the beef clay pot!

This is my 2nd year in a roll to have the Chinese New year (CNY) banquet at the Good Earth in Wandsworth. The specially created CNY menu was magnificent, the decor was traditional and beautiful, the service was very attentive. I highly recommend the Good Earth. Thank you Catherine and your team for making it such as amazing experience for us!

Dining and ambience was beautiful, staff members were fantastic however the food was a little too sugary particularly the shredded beef and the chicken, starters were great, main needed some work.

Nice Chinese cuisine with a good selection of dishes. Excellent crispy duck. A good wine menu to complement the food. Polite, friendly service.

The tables are absolutely jam packed together so you're fighting elbows with the person next to you. The tall male waiter was incredibly rude the entire time, and at one point laughed in my mothers face when she asked a normal question about the food.The menu was different than expected, not really authentic Chinese flavours in any way. Won't be returning. Wish we read the lower reviews before coming here. Never again.On the plus side, the lady waitress and the man on the door were both really nice and friendly. If only the same could be said for the rest of our experience.

Moderate service, but the main issue was the food. The fried green beans was quite good, but the Hunan cumin lamb was absolutely abysmal. No flavour with the dish, and the lamb had no seasoning. No cumin at all in the fish. Was absolutely abysmal and the portion was quite small. For the £19 the dish cost, was absolutely not worth it. Not worth a second visit.

Ordered a Takeaway last night that was very nice. We need coeliac gluten free options. They were very helpful with this and even called me back after checking with the Chef. Pick up was nice and quick ( 20 minutes ), and I couldn’t believe they rang me immediately after to say that I had overpaid them by £20.

This restaurant definitely deserves better reviews. This is the best Chinese food me and my partner ever had. The quality of the food is very good. You actually feel good after eating chinese from The Good Earth. The staff can be a bit more friendly but our overall everything was 5 stars.

You pay for the quality, service and atmosphere. It is good to have the option of a good quality Chinese restaurant in the area. Will Defo go back
