Great local pub just minutes away from Upper Tooting Road. I wish I had discovered it sooner! Very friendly atmosphere and staff. The Sunday roast was amazing and so were the desserts.

Upmarket looking pub with soft lighting. Middle class clientele.. Friendly service (except one bar tender who says neither please or thank you).. My first pint, of London Pride, provided that dilemma in purchasing real ale.. It's not exactly vinegar off but it's certainly not fresh..Does one wish to complain or just re-order? I reordered a lager and no bar staff queried my 85% abandoned real ale.. The lager was fine. After my lager I then ordered a glass of chenin blanc.. Big mistake! It was undrinkable.. Clearly in an open bottle for far too long... Unless it was zapped by aliens as I went from bar to my seat. Complain? Who wants to? I left, never to return...

Otter ale from Devon was available which is a fairly rare find these days. Lovely roaring fire going in the main bar area. Friendly, smiling staff. What's not to like?

We love the Selkirk for a drinks pitstop, especially in the sun - fantastic beer garden.However, the one time we stopped for Sunday Dinner, we were let down with what seemed like an issue of staffing; food coming way before drinks, waited a long time to get the bill, kids bangers and mash was gravy-less, much to my daughters dismay, the extra we ordered for her never arrived. I was a little underwhelmed by the roast, a real shame for what is quite a pricey meal at £20.100% recommend for drinks and the staff are kind, just needed more of them!

Had the roast beef - hands down one of the best roasts I’ve had this year! We was in a private room upstairs, great for the function and the staff were amazing.

Fantastic food and service, thanks so much. We had the private dining room upstairs for 22 people for dinner for my 30th birthday and I can’t thank the staff enough for making it such a fantastic evening. Would definitely recommend and use again.

We love the Selkirk so it was a bit disappointing to go on Saturday night and find that there was only a salad, fish and chips or burgers (the last two both costing a hefty £16 each!) left on the main course menu. Luckily the starters we wanted were available and the service was great. But given the price and the limited choices, we're unlikely to be going there for our next trip for a nice pub meal out.

We reserved the private dining area upstairs for our wedding celebrations with family + friends and we had the best experience. Couldn't recommend The Selkirk highly enough, the communication, the food, drinks... Everything was perfect! Thank you so much Ben & Team 🌟
