"The Stove cafe is a community cafe that employs young, local people, and is "not for profit" - which means that after covering our operating costs, any profit is re-invested into the cafe and Stove Network to help facilitate community groups, events and gigs in our building venue and around Dumfries. Our programme of activity is open to all and includes word, visual, music and food events which are run across daytime, evenings and weekends. We serve a range of healthy, fresh homemade soups, stews, sandwiches and salads that are made daily. You can also indulge in treats and cakes, all supplied by a local baker. You will find a selection of Vegan and Vegetarian options across our Menu."

Lovely place for meeting friends , very busy at times , has a great atmosphere .Food is fresh made daily, ,great soups ,sandwiches ,toasties ,tray bakes cakes ,and lovely daily delights . Staff very friendly .great local hub.really nice coffee.Reasonable priced too.i like it a lot .

Wow! What a place!! Sanquhar is so lucky to have this arts hub and cafe. I ended up buying a beautiful pair of Sanquhar pattern gloves and enjoying the best cheese scone I’ve ever tasted! Really regret not having a second!The photography exhibitions and artwork are beautiful. I look forward to going to a screening in the cinema or being in the audience for one of the theatrical productions soon. 🤞

This is a wonderful Aladdin’s cave of home crafted gifts and handmade bespoke jewellery and ironwork that I just happened to chance upon one day we were out for a drive. I was so impressed that I bought several items and the staff were so helpful and enthusiastic that, believe it or not, I ended up booking a three night stay at the hotel across the road in order to attend some activities listed on their summer school itinerary! The level of skill in the crafts showcased is exemplary and staff are very encouraging to customers to come along and get involved. I left feeling really excited and inspired by the craftsmanship on offer here, and cannot wait to go back and spend longer browsing and participating in some of the activities. Well done, A’ the Airts, -one of the most inspiring shops I have been in in a long time, and this from an avid shopper!

The ladies did an outstanding job of explaining the Sanquhar gloves to us. They handled our large group with grace and made us feel welcome. The selection in the shop of local gifts, including glove kits, was perfect. If you have the opportunity to visit, you should.

What a great space in the town centre. Free public parking just behind. Lots of flexible space over a few floors, oh and fantastic tray bakes too!! Win, win, win!
