Cafe at Designs in Dumfries & Galloway

Saturday lunchtime busy, waited in a queue outside for perhaps 15 minutes, but worth it. Good toasties, and red bush tea, which isn't available everywhere

Great food and quick service, a very pleasant lunch - good value

I had a wonderful visit to this Caffè with my family. They have freindly staff and you can enjoy a good Coffee in their outside garden.

What a beautiful shop, fantastic for gifts.... Very friendly and helpful staff too. They have a beautiful selection of velvet bags, lots of interesting books to buy, and my favourites, bunnies and little fluffy animals made by Kelly cat.A fantastic shop to go into and browse, lots of Christmas items to purchase, and a wonderful coffee shop to pop into, once you have made your purchases.

It has slopes down to the actual café but it might be a bit too steep for a wheelchair; at least an inexperienced user.The café itself is very nice and the staff are always helpful. It's also not too loud most of the time so people with sound sensitivity would be alright (I had ear defenders on while eating though.)They have screens around each table and seem to take covid very seriously (they have a one way system and always wipe the tables) all the staff I could see were wearing masks and you have to scan in to track and trace. The food is very nice too.

Only got 4 stars as they'd run out of ingredients for the recommended eggs Benedict! We've visited numerous times on trips to the area, and always had a nice lunch.

What a lovely hidden gem, we sat in the walled garden surrounded by plants and birds.Very friendly and efficient staff.We had scone and tea and it was delicious.Need to improve the signage on the street, if it wasn't for a couple leaving and recommending it we would have walked straight past 👍

Lovely bustling atmosphere. Great food and good prices, you can build your own sandwich, and their toasties are excellent. They have a lovely garden to sit in outside, and there is a gift shop upstairs

Hubby and I had a lovely lunch yesterday, felt very safe with their partitons between tables. They have a very good system going, and of course the food was delicious as usual.

The quaint garden hidden at the back of the store will draw you in, the fresh and tasty produce in your sandwich will win you over! If you are looking for quiet lunch place with fair price, good food options and amazing cakes, I highly recommend this café!
