Restored our faith in Scottish food. Fast to come to the table. Friendly, welcoming staff. Food is outstanding and perfectly portioned. 100 per cent will return.

Very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere - staff really lovely and delighted to see us. Very clean and well spaced out. The food was "pub grub" and very nice

Great food at a v reasonable price. Fantastic service. Bit cold inside, could've done with setting the heater a couple degrees higher!

Has went downhill rapidly.booked a table for 11 to find a table for 8 set up. After moving tables ourselves we ordered via the app. Spent the day shouting at each other over a excessively loud TV. Waited an hour on food which we didn't mind due to size of table. Food was OK. General pub grub. Cutlery was threw in a pile on the table. No salt shakers so we're given a ramekin of salt but no spoon so not sure how we were supposed to use it. Chicken snd leek pie was cold Items missing off plates, toastie was overdone. Staff had no clue what burger was what when arriving at table. Gravy thick congealed and cold. Sorry but this used to be a go to for food. Can't say I'll be back I'm afraid. Due to paying before getting too much hassle to ask for a refund.

Came in with our dog as a last minute bite to eat. Staff were friendly and welcoming and we were pleased to see it was dog friendly. My husband enjoyed watching sports while we ate our meal, we both had salt beef burgers and they were really great quality for the price. Great selection of gins too! Would recommend.

Last time we were in Stranraer we had an amazing meal here, so we thought why not visit again.Sadly the food was not really up to much. From point of order to it being on our table must have been no more than 5 minutes. The stake and ail pie was burnt on the pastry and just really lacking taste. The southern fried chicken burger was ok but wasn’t really what you would expect from a pub. Shame really as like I say last time we were here it was amazing.Now if I was going to rate on service alone I’d happily give 5 start as the service was perfect.

Nice popular pub in Stranraer for food, a drink or to listen to live music. It's got plenty of seating inside and outside. Only thing is that ordering food stopped by 8pm on a friday when the singer started. Staff were very helpful and told me where I could still get a meal in the town.

Very busy as short staffed & took a while to be served, food brought, drinks etc....but that aside Danny was excellent at keeping the five star review due to his cheeky chappy personality, a credit to the establishment.Food lovely & the brunch burger was amazing, only downside was the salt & pepper squid was just squid - no flavour at all, but still lovely.All social distancing measures in place & covid policies.

Gone downhill since covid at least they had the full menu back on waiting times quiet long it's the summer holidays lots of people travelling on the ferrys so u wud think they wud put extra staff on. Staff on the other hand are very nice and under pressure

Very tasty food. Servers were all very attentive and helpful. Do a good deal on 2 meals for 12.49
