A 4* hotel? I think not, more like a 3*. The rom I had was a bit cramped. The window covering was broken. I reported it, it was "fixed" and promptly broke again! As a veggie, the food was "nice". Hardly gastronomic (risotto, couscous with some vegetable stew, mushroom Wellington as examples of mains). The profiteroles I was served one night were still frozen. However, the biggest fax pas for me was serving veggie sandwiches (no real thought given here - cheese or egg - I hate egg sandwiches) mixed with meat and fish sandwiches, a sure fire way for this veggie to not touch them with the proverbial bargepole!!!

Expensive breakfast not worth the money but was nice & tasty, had superior double room, beds were 2 single mattresses on base, so a gap in middle bed not the most comfortable, the head board was halfway up wall so when sitting up in bed pillows were under it rather than against it so impossible to watch tv in bed comfortably. Thought it was expensive for essentially uncomfortable stay.

The staff were amazing, food absolutely lovely unfortunately we paid for 2 rooms. 1 room for us another for our daughters family. ÂŁ20 difference between the 2. Our daughter had a beautiful modern garden room with patio doors. We had a dark dingy shoe box of a room which omitted brown/yellow water when attempting to bathe. Reminisce of a retirement home room. Highly disappointed considering the price. We won't be visiting again.

Arrived at the Oyo hotel in Lockerbie in my husbands work van. To say we were greeted at reception would be a lie. After a long day at work we decided to book in as too tried to drive on. We wish now that we never ever booked.Glen as I was told by other customers was totally rude, obnoxious, barely spoke this is a very true reflection on how we were dealt with and when he did it was with distain and hand signals when we asked anything where the residence bar was at. We asked about a meal kitchen closed but able to cook for a wedding party so he booked us at another nearby hotel. When we rang reception to ask for a taxi he gave us two numbers quickly and abruptly. We assumed he would book for us. We assumed wrongly again. When we got to the other restaurant for the meal other people who were staying at the same hotel as us asked us why we didn’t get the mini bus supplied by the hotel!!!!!! And we explained how rude he was with us and he mentioned the mini bus. They couldn’t believe he didn’t tell us about the mini bus. We were shocked to say the least!!!!Went to bed to be awakened in the morning by a young boy knocking on the door at 9.45 wondering if we were still there!!!!!!I asked what time check out was at as Glen never said he said 11.00 !!!!!!! Why would anyone do this!!!!The house keeper was the only happy positive face we seen for our stay.Have stayed in many many hotels over the years driving up to them in our brand new vans over the years and never once were we treated so badly in any other one than this OYO.I’ve never wrote a negative review before but so upset by this horrible treatment don’t want anyone else to be treated like this. The one star had to be out in otherwise the review wouldn’t go through. Minus stars is how he should be!!!!!!!!!!!

Stayed at the Sure Hotel, the room was lovely and big lots of space and places for luggage and clothing. The bed was comfy and very big. had a lovely nights sleep. the bathroom was a little dated, but very clean and worked very well. shower was fine. Breakfast was good, lots of choice. the staff were lovely and very attentive. the hotel is being refurbished and looks great so far, would definitely return.
