Garden Wise in Dumfries & Galloway

Very good. Well worth the 1 hour drive we took to get there. The quality and prices of the plants were excellent. Large airy cafe great to relax too.

Cafe area.. Only soup and scone/tray bakes on menu when I had planned on something more substantial. Only one person covering serving area and tills who coped very well but thus did make service slow at till. Won't be rushing back unfortunately.

I often go and have a look at the house plants in this garden center because they have a good selection of house plants. I am a keen collector and have 150+ plants in my house. Many times I have been to the garden center and their plants have had a bad case of spider mites, last time I went i found the loveliest hanging plant, I had a good look at it and couldn't see any spider mites so I bought it on the chance I was lucky.... To my horror today I took it down from it's place and it have a spider mite infestation and the plants underneath it have also been infested... I have now thrown out the plant from garden wise cleaned and treated my 2 other plants and out them in isolation in the hope that will stop them spreading. Garden wise you need to do something about the infestation in your shop. I won't be shopping with you anymore.

Had a lovely look around and then a fab coffee n cake with my daughter. We'll worth a visit, larger than I expected.

Enjoy the garden centre not impressed with the cafe luke warm soup? Surely it should be easy enough to serve it hot - warm bowls might help.

Nice cafe and reasonably priced..prices in the garden centre are high for the area but a good variety of goods

A delightful place to spend your time and plan your seasonal garden. Very well stocked with indoor and outdoor plants, garden requirements, and a great shopping experience in Gift Shop. The tea room provides a variety of yummy sweet treats, scones, cakes etc, as well as cooked meals. Several paintings for sale are displayed in the sitting area. Very interesting and relaxing.

Nice latte but really poor scones! Cheese scone had no taste of cheese and had an aftertaste of baking soda/powder. Very disappointed. Left on plate as shown.

It has friendly and helpful staff. I love looking around the shop for that special gift. Unfortunately the cafe was a bit of a disaster. Our order was mixed up and it was just about 50 pounds for 3 for lunch. A bit expensive I thought although food. was ok and staff were working hard.

A good and spacious garden center. Lots of items available to purchase, everything from garden related stuff to interior decor items, books, food and games. There's a large indoor section as well as an outdoor garden section. There's also an indoor restaurant serving both hot and cold food/drinks with nearby toilet facilities. There are parking spaces for those in wheelchair and all areas are wheelchair friendly.#accessible #gardencenter #familyfriendly
