My only complaint was the portions are too big! Excellent pasta, excellent pizza. Can't be faulted. Great staff too

·

Great sized portions with a varied choice. Even had the early supper menu on a Saturday. Staff really are super. Been here a couple of times now and genuinely love the atmosphere.

·

We arrived before the busy period so the service was quick and efficient. Staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely use this place again when we are back in Dumfries.

Food was absolutely fantastic. Service was also great, nice relaxed and cosy atmosphere and a lot of little touches that brought something extra. My coffee came with some Scottish Tablet (good Tablet too) and when I had steak and asked for English mustard I was given a large pot of mustard so I could have as much as I could want.I can't fault the night, me and my girlfriend were celebrating 3 years together and La Dolce Vita was the perfect way to do it.She loved it too and we'll both be back!

Great food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Lively spot, masses of young staff and service very good. Food left a lot to be desired. It probably my own fault if I had chosen pizza or a simple pasta would have been OK. My mistake was choosing dish of baked cod rolled in ham. Ham was baked solid and cod dry and tasteless. When I mentioned issues to waitress she smiled and walked off.

This was without a doubt one of the best meals I've had in recent times, nice surroundings, polite staff and great food. Starter was chefs prawn dish which was amended to meet my dietary requirements, followed by the sea bass recommended by waitress. Simply stunning.Decent portion sizes, amazing value for money, well presented.Only down side was I had no cash for a tip and wasn't given the option to tip when paying on credit card.Suffice to say when I'm back in the area.. I'm going straight back for more!

Excellent service, food, prices and portions. I would really recommend this place to eat. They have gluten free pizza bases and vegan cheese.

·

What an amazing food! I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch- 3 course meal for a very reasonable price. The food was exquisite, will definitely go back when I visit Dumfries again.

Visited la dolce vita while on holiday in Dumfries. Would highly recommend a visit if you love Italian food. The restaurant itself is very clean with an open plan kitchen so you can watch the food being cooked the staff were very attentive and very pleasant at all times. The food was delicious and presented well and portion size was generous(see photo of my chicken dolce vita dish …delicious) We will definitely return for a meal if we are back in Dumfries. Would also like to mention the restaurant owner who went above and beyond helping us get home to our holiday home when we couldn’t get a taxi in the town he went above and beyond he’s a very kind genuine guy!
